Perfect combo of food and view

Bar Mare was our afternoon hang out spot on Praiano Beach for three days. After a day of fun in the sun, we made sure we stopped at Bar Mare for some spritz and fresh seafood. The staff was very friendly and the owner who is a very sweet man recommended their house pasta that is to die for. We... read more

Not sure who writes their reviews as our worst and only poor experience in Italy. Waitress acted like she clearly hated having to serve us, then sneered when I asked for still tap water before I chose alcohol, then charged 4 euro for mineral water I did not ask for or get. Another 4 euro extra cover charge, totally wilted... More

The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty. You sit right on the side of the beach with a gorgeous view. It's totally chill and family owned. The cherry tomatoes and small peppers in dishes gave the meals a flavor not to be matched. Wish I was back there now. The owner is so warm and friendly just don't pick... More

This restaurant is located at the small port and the seating is outside. The seafood is superb and fresh caught daily. you can watch the boats come and go while you are seated there.Salvatore is gracious and loves to talk about his family and their history. He is very proud of the food they serve. We went back twice because... More

A tiny restaurant with a multitude of delicious seafood dishes right on the waterfront. With a kitchen not much larger than a closet, Salvatore, the owner and cook created scrumptous dishes of freshly caught fish. The scialiatielli a frutti di mare - a heaping plate of mussles, clams, shrimp and home-made pasta was to die for! It's worth the trip.

What a gem! This intimate restaurant in La Praia marina treats you like family. The owner, Salvatore, is open, friendly and generous. He shared old photos of the area with us, so we could get a sense of history. The food, excellent! Fresh tomatoes from Salvatore's fathers garden, outstanding selection of local fish, pasta& some meats. Highly recommend you finish... More

I had to keep checking to see if this is the same place as the other reviews as we found just about every aspect of our lunch here disappointing. The server acted like she hated her life. Food took forever to arrive and it isn't like they were very busy. The swordfish pasta was fishy and unremarkable. The gnocchi was... More

Great setting in the cove to enjoy great food and wine while the sun sets. The highlight was surprisingly the courgette scapace, but everything was great, finished off with a tiriamisu to die for derive could be a little more attentive but a very enjoyable experience.

Salvatore who owns the restaurant recently changed the awning to "Petit Restaurant Donna Clelia" in tribute to his mother who recently passed away. The family has been living as fishermen in the same house on the small beach for four generations and running the restaurant for the last 50. The food is the usual simple straight forward southern Italian cuisine... More

After a day of boating or driving the coast, try this little gem in the Marina di Praia. Fast service, good food, and not expensive!
