Great place for lunch

This is a great little casual restaurant with beautiful views of the beach. We enjoyed a mixed fried seafood and a couple of nice cold beers for lunch. The seafood was so fresh and tasty and service friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Located far below the cliff side roads, next to where the fishermen come ashore is one of the best seafood restaurants on the Amalfi Coast. Fresh, varied and tasty can be used to describe the seafood at Bar Mare Petit Restaurant. This year (we had previous visits last year) we had an excellent seafood risotto that not only had a... On the recommendation of an American Praiano resident, we parked ourselves at an outside table at this casual and fun restaurant, after a wonderful boat ride and day in Capri. It is in the beach cove and they had festive Italian popular music playing. We ordered a reasonably priced bottle of wine, and it turned out to be one of... More

Outstanding. It was like eating in between 2 caves. The meal was like my Italian grandfather made it. The owner, Salvatore was so nice. I love when you go to Italy they leave you a bottle of limoncello, along with a licorice after dinner drink along with a fennel apertiff his Mama made. My red sauce was perfecto. I give... More

Pasta sauce was clearly from a jar. And the pasta was over cooked. Hamburger was cooked so well done I could throw it through a glass window. Chips were undercooked and over salted. Severely overpriced and overrated. Would definitely not recommend this 'restaurant' anybody. Stay clear!

After a hard day of sitting at the beach, we went there and asked for a menu. We were not that hungry and asked if they had anything small. They had a bunch of things not even on the menu. We ended up just getting some rice balls and friend potatoes, and they were so good that we got some... More

Had a nice risotto and a the mixed-grill seafood seemed to have a lot for the money. Service wasn't great though, and it wasn't quite as delicious as other places we'd been. Also had to read the menu with mobile phone light as we weren't in the main part. This place was always busy so we were expecting a lot... More

This is the hardest review by far. Ate here twice within four days. The location is ideal. We dined outside, listening to waves crash, people watching, meeting others on holiday -- all seemed part of a dream. The owner was so gracious and personable. Every other sentence started the same way: Mama made it. We thought it was some colloquialism... More

If my main of fish was 100g I would be very surprised, my wife's portion was maybe 120g. So for 220g of fish some bread, chips, 1/2 an iceberg lettuce covered in watered down olive oil and one drink each and a bottle of water to share came to €65. Unfriendly and poor service. Can't believe it gets the reviews... More
