walked from our hotel and had a wonderful meal above the sea! Presentation was superb and each selection better than the previous. As a small restaurant the owners were serving and cooking. Very friendly and welcoming. Would love to come back.

I eat at il pino twice during my honeymoon tour of the region. Recommended by a local we first went for lunch. The views across the sea are stunning, the lad who owns it is charming, and the food is some of the best in Italy. They even have their own taxi service so when I was staying at monastero... More

Recommended by the owner of the villa where we stayed. It did not disappoint. Lovely meal, fresh fish cooked to perfection. Attentive service and a lovely view. A little on the pricey side but overall pleasant experience.

We had one of our best meals here whist on The Amalfi Coast. The owner was extremely at tentative, gave us a perfect table with magnificent view over the ocean. He provided us either a complimentary Gladys's of champagne and appetiser before we even ordered. The meal was beautifully presented and excellent quality. A truely memorable meal during our time... We went twice. The host was gracious. They brought us a gratis prosecco and an amuse buche (fried stuffed zucchini blossoms). The food was good; the view was beautiful. The desserts weren't wonderful (baba al rhum and lemon cake), but the pastas and fish dishes were notable.

Italy isn't a problematic place for vegans, at least on paper. Everywhere you can pretty much get some basic salad, grilled vegetables and pasta with tomato sauce or olive oil based sauce. However, the problem begins when you enter directly into a tourist trap, where the service isn't attentive, or where the food is just bad. That was exactly the... More

The meal was delightful with terrific service and fabulous food . The zucchini blossoms were light and delicious, the plate sized ravioli was cheese and the pasta had an almost grilled flavor...unique and beautiful. My favorite was the shrimp and lemon risotto served in a huge fresh lemon! Fabulous. Balda the owner was warm and friendly. He arranged to have... More

This is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea. And if you are there at the right time you will witness a magnificent sun set. The service is exceptional. We actually had Balda the owner/chef collect us from our hotel and drive us back again. The wait staff are very well trained and warm and inviting and fun. We had complimentary... More

We were recommended Hosteria il Pino from the owner of the hotel we stayed at in Praiano. He had previously recommended other restaurants that were really good, so we were quite sure the recommendation would be good too. The restaurant was hidden down a flight of stairs from the main road and when we arrived we were served a complimentary... More
