Unbelievable food and service

Food and service are outstanding as are the surroundings. Prices are not super expensive, but high by some standards. Formal (no ties or jackets) dining experience at dinner and very casual at breakfast. Great choices and great preparations.

Went to San Pietro based on friends recommendations and after reading all the reviews on TA. The hotel in which the restaurant in located is very impressive and the views from the restaurant are amazing, but that's where is stops for me. The food although well presented was nothing special. The service was top but bordering on pretentious. We had... More

Expensive, but well worth it! Took our family to celebrate our 50th Anniversary and had a great stay for 3 nights, 3 rooms! Our Granddaughter swam and used the paddle boards all afternoon, and enjoyed the beautiful pool! One big disappointment is the main restaurant, nothing on menu to our llikes for dinner, very nuovo! Years ago, great simple Italian... More

We booked wt San Pietro restaurant for dinner. It was a wonderful experience. Dinner was perfect: modern Italian with local ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the batuta di manzo e gamberi. A surf and turf appetizer. My husband had a San Pietro with summer truffles. I tasted it and found it delicious. The welcome pizza was a wonderful treat! The hotel... More

Starting with drinks in the beautiful outdoor bar area overlooking the Amalfi Coast with the town of Positano in the distance & then moving inside the hotel restaurant for a fabulous dinner, this was truly an evening to remember. That evening we were also celebrating my wife's birthday. Service & food was excellent!

The food was simply amazing as it was 5 stars from the quality to the service. Maybe it was the views that made it fell as though it was over the top. They also had a great selection of wine which the host will provide you a wonderful pairing with your selection of food.

Amazing location with fabulous views out over the bay. We got there before sunset and enjoyed champagne in the bar before having a stroll around the gardens to enjoy the view. Dinner was wonderful and the service excellent - wonderful honeymoon treat.

We stayed here many times. Gorgeorgeous rooms and the restaurant in the hotel and at the beach are delicious and we seldom went into Positano. The views are spectacular and if you are lucky and get to know the owner he will take 6 people in his boat. He dives for sea urchins which we devour! We go swimming in... More

Whilst in Sorrento we took the local bus To Positano. It's a tortuous route round the side of the mountain but takes about 1 hour. The traffic is horrendous but adds to the fun. It's €3.50 return so very cheap. The town itself like most places in this region is built into a cliff face so be prepared for a... More

Could the view be any more breathtaking? Absolutely not. Lunching at Il San Pietro is beyond words. The food is artful delicate and portions are minimal. The beautiful people here do not eat like Americans And dine conversing over a glass of Prosecco or a fine wine. Don't miss it.
