This place is amazing. The quality of pasta is the best we'd had outside of Napoli. The spaghetti with fresh anchovies is tremendous. The wine selection is amazing and the waiter was to let us try wines before purchasing a glass to ensure it met our needs. The prices were reasonable too - particularly for positano!

Home away from home, that's how I would describe how Nicodemo, owner of the "Wine-dark House", welcomed us on this rainy afternoon of November. The winds were strong, the sea was shaken and the clouds were menacing... But Nicodemo knew how to calm all the elements with a good beer and a nice glass of wine. Food was suggested in... More

One of the few places open in low season in positano, this cafe served us some of the freshest and tastiest food we'd had in italy. The waiter/owner speaks fantastic english, and is so friendly and helpful. Ask him to reccomend a local wine, or if it's a cold day the coffee is delicious. Can't say enough good things about... My husband and I visited 3 times during a week. I'm veggie and the host was very helpful and suggested a new veggie option each time that wasn't on the menu. Wine was fabulous too and the local history from the host was great.

Intitially stopped her for a mid-morning coffee and glanced at the menu while having it. Place looked clean and food prices seemed reasonable so went bach there for lunch later on. My wife and I shared a lovely caprese salad and a fish dish. The fish was perfectly cooked, enough to share and came with sauteed potatoes. Ideal for lunch... More

Try Fettuccine Cesare con Straccetti and fried Shrimps & Calamar as a main dish. You wont Regret!! Not only the foods but the desserts were really delicious.

great setting in quiet corner of downtown Positano. Owner studied the classics and thus pays tribute to Homer's "wine-dark sea." we had spaghetti with anchovies (read sardines!) and octopus salad, both great.

This is a nice place for a light lunch... they offer a wide selection of paninis with freshly baked bread and fresh ingredients for about 7/8 euros. The desserts were nice and they really seem to be homemade. (They did not have any fresh fruit on the menu which is really a pity!) The personnel was very friendly and not... More

Sort of odd little place - just beyond the main church as you walk down the steps towards the beach look up and you'll see the 2nd floor kitchen of this restaurant. Restaurant is below, very few tables in and more outside. This place is different! We went because friends, guide, and hotel all agreed that you Must Go if... More

We visited this restaurant on the suggestion of our hotel desk. It was close to our hotel, though we almost walked by it, because the sign is hard to see. We had a typical lunch of pasta and fish, neither of which were close in quality to meals that we experienced other places in Positano. Our server was prompt and... More
