Il Capitano met all our needs and more. We stopped by earlier in the day for a reservation on a Saturday night and they were able to fit us in with no problem. They did mention however, that they would likely not be able to get us a table along the sea which we were okay with. When we arrived... More

We had to wait a while for a table, but it was well worth the wait. We had changed one of the dishes to have with gnocchi instead of spaghetti and they were very accommodating. Service great and wine list very extensive. Would go back, has a beautiful spot on the terrace.

I was slightly reluctant to try this restaurant to begin with. I am kit sure why. I think I felt that it would cater for a mass market given it's location. I was wrong. The food is very well prepared. The octopus carpaccio as a starter is superb, as was the spaghetti nero with squid. The fish stew was wonderful.... More

This restaurant is set on a terrace that overlooks the bay & is set back/down from the main road that runs into town. Everybody here is so friendly & the food was superb. Can get very busy in the evening, which says a lot. This is a "must visit" during your stay.

Excellent view. Food was great. We had seafood risotto, big portion and tasty. Egg plant ravioli was delicious. Pizza marinara was big, tasty. Would have given it five stars if service was better. Very slow and no follow up. We did not even get a maître d check up on the table. Limoncello liquor after dinner was fantastic!

Stunning views and delicious food! The service was lovely, we went there twice during our 5 days in Positano. Our waiter, Giuseppe, offered us limoncello drinks the 1st time and other drinks with antipasti for our second visit, he was really lovely and it made the experience even better! I had the seafood risotto and then the tuna filet, both... More

This has a stunning view over the beach at Positano and the staff were kind enough to make rom for us at late notice in a booked out restaurant. The ambience matched the food - superb including lightly fried cod fish balls (that we're square) and seafood that was local and freshly caught. The seafood risotto was very flavoursome as... More

The key is the deck and the view. At the edge of town, it is superior. The food was very good, the service was also very good. Not brilliant, but very good. It was not too busy and that helped, and there was some wind, but the canopies protected us. The food came out quickly and had a good presentation.... More

It was Friday night and I think we were fortunate to get a table without making an advance reservation. We were so pleased they could accommodate us, the food, drink, service, views and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. It might not be the cheapest meal you'll have in Positano but was certainly worth every penny and definitely a recommendation if some... More
