We tried this bar on our way to the Sita bus station. The sea view was fantastic and the price is not high. But the food we ordered was mediocre (fettuccine funghi + salami piccante pizza).

Wandered into Li Galli after getting off the Sita bus. We inadvertently left our DSLR camera on the bus after an incident. More important than the camera itself were the pictures we took of Rome, Vatican, and the trip thus far. We asked the waiter how we could call Sita in order to recover the camera. He worked tirelessly in... More

Lovely food. Eggplant, salad with arugula, shrimp and avocado, pesto pasta and ice cream, all very tasty. Nice house wine. Great view of port, good staff, authentic.

After exploring Positano, we settled on eating Pizza's at Li Galli. It is located near the main road, well above the shops on the beach. This in turn gives a fantastic outlook over the beach, houses and the rest of Positano. The only negative is the constant foot traffic of tourists walking down the road from the bus stop, however... I cannot believe the reviews that say this place is pricey. A pizza with prosciutto and fresh basil on a crusty and tasty base for €8 or a generous serving of pesto pasta for the same. €4 for a glass of prosecco. All very cheap by our standards, particularly for Positano! We ate here for one lunch and one dinner... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Villa Franca while in Positano for our 30th anniversary. We like to eat at local restaurants but our first and last nights we decided to eat in the hotel's restaurant. The chef is incredibly creative. His menu reflects his palate and thoughtful combining of flavors. As an appetizer on our first night he... More

The food here is exceptional, the views sublime. For this reason, it's worth putting up with the service and the cost. It's in the cozy dining room for the Villa Franca hotel and a bit of a trek if you're hoofing it from the town centre but definitely worth a visit.

Looking at some of the photos and reviews, I think there are two places being confused here. I believe this is the restaurant attached to the Villa Franca Hotel, not a cafe in a different part of Positano. My review is for the Villa Franca restaurant. We stayed here for a wedding and ate here daily. The wedding meal in... More

Our first night in Positano found us very weary after a long day of travel. We couldn't muster the energy to cook so we took a flight of stairs up to the main street and the first place we saw was the Hotel Villa Franca with it's restaurant, Li Galli. We were fortunate that they had a table overlooking the... More

We drove around this on the way to Capri - interesting to see, nothing crazy special. Would liked if our skipper could have given us more info on the history but he only spoke a few phrases of English.
