My wife and I stumbled upon this place while staying in positano for 4 days. Although we were skeptical because of it being right on the beach which is very touristy, the food looked amazing on the menu. We ordered the local wine for 12 euros a bottle which was delicious. The seafood was very fresh and the pasta was... More

Of the 3 nights we had in Positano we ate at La Cambusa twice! Gianni was our waiter and he made our experience - he selected all of our courses, recommending their freshest fish and signature dishes. He also portioned them out so that we could share a starter, pasta, etc which we really loved. If you trust Gianni, you... More

Loved this place. Food & service excellent! We went back 2 times. Everyone working there was so warm.

It was first restaurant which we tough could be good but it was not. At the end waiter suggested that while paying with credit card I can still add a tip...

Very average place. We didn't think there was anything specific wrong with the food, it was just average. We had hopped for better. The service was like the food; average. Prices a little high quality considered, but I think the same is true any where is Positano.

This restaurant, though relaxed and informal, really impressed in a number of ways. The food was excellent - the seafood risotto is a 'must', the views are great if you are lucky enough to get one of the sea facing tables but most of all it was Gianni's lovely, friendly service that ensured we returned. Apparently he lived and worked... More

We were strongly encouraged to visit La Cambusa by a friend who frequents Positano. The atmosphere is beach casual but the food is quite impressive. We had several appetizers, followed by a local seafood pasta and the fresh catch of the day (a local bream, topped off by a wild baby strawberry dessert and Limoncello. The service was very friendly... More

After several nights eating elsewhere, we finally tried La Cambusa at the beach in Positano. Our table was by the window and we could watch the waves coming in. Our waiter had lived in Britain for a while and spoke perfect English with a slight British inflection. We started with tasty marinated anchovies, and split an order of tagliatelle alla... More

On the evening we went, there were only three other tables in use at a quite large restaurant. The person who was serving deserves an award for a sustained solo effort at making everyone happy and the place seem wonderful - a real professional! Sadly this did not make up for the fact that the atmosphere was subdued. The food... More

The service and fresh local seafood, especially grilled calamari were great, this is the only restaurant we returned to for a second dinner in Positano.
