Best restaurant in amalfi by far

I honestly don't understand some of the negative comments left in here about this place - I'm a massive foodie and have eaten at some of the most amazing places but this is up there as one of my favourites - top of the mountain, romantic, classic old school Italian kitchen and dining and the food... read more

Was under the impression this restaurant had nice views, but it has no views at all except for the busy street with scooters zooming by. Food was over priced for what you get. Not worth the ride up there.

We chose Donna Rosa because it was very highly recommended by TA reviewers, located right at our Piazza Cappela bus stop, and very close to our villa. Previously, we had eaten at several of Montepertuso's most highly TA-rated restaurants, so I believe this to be a fair comparison and review. While it's a bit on the pricey side, we enjoyed... More

Hands down the best restaurant in Positano. Everything from the drinks, food, ambiance and service was excellent. It was especially pleasing to learn that one of our favorite chefs, Jamie Oliver, is associated with the restaurant. I recommend sitting inside and traveling here via taxi service.

Lovely drive up, but that was the best bit. We were excited as it was recommended by our hotel but unfortunately it doesn't deserve it!!! The wine was way over priced and below average. Food was bland and under seasoned. And don't expect great views, with the drive up being so stunning it was a shame to be looking at... More

We had an excellent meal here. From light as air meatballs to rolled pork simmered all day in tomato sauce to Mama Raffi's special pasta, everything was superb. A pretty decent wine list as well. Mom and one sister Erica cook while Rosita and dad work the tables. It was one of the best Italian meals my family experienced. Other... More

We came based on a recommendation from a friend. Family owned and run... everyone is so nice. We had the scallops appetizer with the lavender ....the best!!! They take pride in their food and you can tell by their product. We stayed in the town and had to take taxi to get there, but then found out they will pick... More

A friend recommended we try this small family owned and operated restaurant. No panoramic views but the food was enough to make it the best so far of 22 restaurants (several were Michelin star) of our trip. Try scallops with lemon and lavendar, the back and white pasta and the pannacotta! Delicious.

Ate lunch outside. Service was good. Menu items: Sea bass was very tastefully seasoned and garnished. Fish was very fresh. Black and white seafood dish was also great. Desserts were amazing. Worth every cent. I want to move there!

We read about this little restaurant in the Lonely Planet reviews, we booked through the hotel who very kindly made a reservation for us at 1.30 for lunch. I am not saying the place is easy to find but with a good sat Nav you should manage it. When we arrived we parked the car in a little car park... More
