Mini-excursion inside your Positano vacation

For our summer visit, our stay in Positano is never complete without a day Da Adolfo. This is a restaurant on one of the side beaches within the Bay of Positano. While some folks go only for their mid-day meal, we are partial to the all-day (10 or 11 AM to 5 PM) experience. This starts on the main... read more

People write there is no menu, maybe they can't read? There is a big menu up near the bar on a blackboard . It is a great experience, you go by boat, hire a sun lounger and yes they have seen better days. I wish we had gone earlier in our holiday so that we could have gone back several... More

An Amalphi Coast must do! You can only get to this authentic little eatery by boat out of Positano and it's the beginning of a very cool adventure! The setting is a rock beach with a covered area over tables tucked into a picturesque cove colorfully cluttered with beach chairs and barely covered beach going travelers(mostly Italians). The menu is... More

We couldn't wait to go to this little restaurant on the beach. Sergio came along in the boat with the red fish on it and picked us up from Positano. And we were so excited to arrive at this tiny beach with the restaurant that looks quite rustic, sun loungers that had seen better days and a portaloo for the... More

Authentic restaurant with great sea food located on a small beach. Grilled octopus with potatoes, grilled local fish and fresh pasta with pumpkin and mussels - yammmmm. There is no menu, no pricing list. Select from what the waiter (who also can be you boat captain/beach attendee/entertainer) offers and enjoy! Very reasonable.

While I was planning our trip to Positano, I came across a random video about the Da Adolfo. I thought that this would be a great and unique experience and sure enough it was! You definitely don't just "go" to the Da Adolfo, it takes some research, timing, and patience. First, you must know about the particular boat that comes... More

Our hotel recommended Adolfos as something different from the average restaurant. We took a small boat from the Positano pier and arrived before lunch. Lounge chairs and umbrellas were offered at the beach for a charge, so we rented them. But the chairs were so cramped we could barely move to get onto our loungers. Also, be aware that the... More

I actually went to DA ADLFO'S back in the early 80's and was blown away with the place then. I returned to Positano in 2012 with my partner and daughter so we had to go back there to see if it was still as fabulous as I remembered it. IT WAS and we all loved it. So, back again in... More

This was more than just lunch. I was a great day out. From the boatride to the cove, the relaxation/swim at the beach, then the few steps over to the restaurant, to enjoy fabulous local dishes, then more relaxing on the beach ntil you are ready to return to Positano. So glad we did it.

We spent about 21 days in Italy - 5 of those in Positano. The day we had at the beach at Da Adolfo and the lunch we had there was the best day/experience we had in Italy. The experience of being picked up by boat and being taken to the private beach was great. The food was simply superb. The... More
