Outstanding

I've read really positive and really negative reviews of this place so maybe you get what you get on the day. We got the restaurant boat (yes they only take 12 at a time and yes the boat driver may be on his phone but really, so what?), we had a beer from the kiosk next to the jetty while... read more

We were looking forward to visiting Da Adolfo after hearing great reviews. Unfortunately I would not recommend it as we had better food and relaxation in Positano. The boat taxi is a blessing and curse. Great view and trip to restaurant. Curse is that boat only takes 12 people so we waited for an hour and barely got into a... More

I have been visiting this place since the 70s I visited today out of season and it is already packed. I am not sure what it will be like in the summer. The food is always simple and absolutely superb. This should be a must do if you visit Positano. I had the spaghetti con le cozze (Mussels) and I... More

I'm surprised at the positive reviews for Da Alfo. After an afternoon there, we realized that this is one of the biggest tourist traps we have ever fallen for. We are convinced that this is the place to go if you have a crumby hotel, no beach access, or want to feel as if you've "escaped" to a hidden spot... More

This is an experience not to be missed if you are in Positano. My wife and I went on the first day it was opened for the season and we were not disappointed. While the weather wasn't great, we were ferried over in their Boston Whatler (the other boat was in the shop), but we had no problem finding the... More

For our summer visit, our stay in Positano is never complete without a day Da Adolfo. This is a restaurant on one of the side beaches within the Bay of Positano. While some folks go only for their mid-day meal, we are partial to the all-day (10 or 11 AM to 5 PM) experience. This starts on the main pier... More

People write there is no menu, maybe they can't read? There is a big menu up near the bar on a blackboard . It is a great experience, you go by boat, hire a sun lounger and yes they have seen better days. I wish we had gone earlier in our holiday so that we could have gone back several... More

An Amalphi Coast must do! You can only get to this authentic little eatery by boat out of Positano and it's the beginning of a very cool adventure! The setting is a rock beach with a covered area over tables tucked into a picturesque cove colorfully cluttered with beach chairs and barely covered beach going travelers(mostly Italians). The menu is... More

We couldn't wait to go to this little restaurant on the beach. Sergio came along in the boat with the red fish on it and picked us up from Positano. And we were so excited to arrive at this tiny beach with the restaurant that looks quite rustic, sun loungers that had seen better days and a portaloo for the... More

Authentic restaurant with great sea food located on a small beach. Grilled octopus with potatoes, grilled local fish and fresh pasta with pumpkin and mussels - yammmmm. There is no menu, no pricing list. Select from what the waiter (who also can be you boat captain/beach attendee/entertainer) offers and enjoy! Very reasonable.
