I kept avoiding this restaurant thinking it would not live up to it's location but on the last night of my stay, having climbed down the 700 odd stairs from my hotel to find my intended dinner location closed I gave in and took a table at La Pergola. I try to eat food from the local region but had... More

Right on the beach so nice view but way overpriced for the food quality (€13.50 for a small portion of pasta!), the gnochhi was tasty but it was the worst spaghetti carbonara pasta I had in Italy so far.

Relying on guide books, we chose to eat our midday meal at La Pergola because of its location-- looking out on the water, outdoor seating, and reputation for good food. We were not disappointed.

We visited this restaurant just because it was at the beachfront below our hotel buco di bacco. We dined ouside and the weather was fine. I had a veal marsala which was ok. My wife got a pizza pepperoni pizza which didnot satisfy her. Salad with rukkola was ok. My wine was fine. The desert was a crepe marignere which... More

While our hotel provided breakfast for us, I was craving a ham and cheese omelet so one morning we walked down to the waterfront and grabbed one here (FYI: We enjoyed it so much we came back the next morning). The view is amazing because it is right on the beach (as you come down the main staircase, it is... More

We enjoyed a cocktail or two each night at the bar part of this restaurant and the atmosphere is fun and casual. We ate at the restaurant once and the food was good although a little more expensive than others we went to. Worth a visit

Great tasting meals, exceptional service and a lovely view. The meal sizes were larger portions than those at nearby eateries also.

For our first meal in Positano, we settled in at a beachfront table at Ristorante La Pergola, recommended by our B&B with a 10% discount card. It was situated right at the waterfront and looked pretty popular, and we had a table with a good view of the beach and water. The restaurant appears to be more touristy compared to... More

We were very tired after a day out on a boat and wanted an unfussy place to eat where we could really not make an effort (dress wise). We had on several occasions enjoyed drinks at their beachfront bar which was very nice and a great spot with good friendly service and it seems popular with the locals. We walked... More

Positano in the off-season is not a beehive of activity as the night grows late. We wanted to avoid the obvious tourist traps and trudged up and down the steep streets for almost an hour in search of food. Our last stop turned out to be very good. Restaurant La Pergola is a slightly confusing, three tiered affair, with a... More
