You simply must!

The location; at the end of the walk way by San Pietro Church which you might think makes this very touristy and potentially not good quality - which is wrong! You can see the owner didn't spare any money outfitting the place, it is very tastefully done.... but they forgot to invest in staff and a proper chef ! Food was a total waste of money ! Service was non existent.

Very nice, upscale, but still inexpensive restaurant. Lunch for 8 people cost us only 153 Euros. Great seafood. Try boiled octopus, fried calamari and grilled prawns (15 Euros each) and top it off with absolutely incredible tiramisu! Real jewel of Porto Venere!

There are a lot of well-reviewed restaurants in Portovenere along the waterfront promenade and on the tourist sheets, but Le Bocche is unique in that it is right on the water but far from the tourists, cars, tour boats incoming/outgoing and all the other restaurants that line up one after the other. We always eat at Le Bocche when in... More

We walked along the harbor in portovenere and stumbled upon this beautiful setting and restaurant. The prices were no higher than the other restaurants along the water but the dishes looked unique. They were! We had pasta dishes for mains and anchovies and mussels as starters. The wine was also delicious. The services started out good but then they got... More

Lasagnette with calamari, sweet red peppers, gorgonzola sauce was extraordinary. Prepared exactly right with the smooth sauce adhering to the flat pasta without seeming "pasty." Worth learning how to prepare pastas this way. Definite "go there."

The food was awful and cold, poorly presented and no spices whatsoever. I had shrimp and my wife had grilled fish. We were basicly the only guest at one point in what should be the busiest time and I where soon to understand why. When I mentioned to the waitries that the food was no good, se replied "not my... With the sea closer than 5 meters away from the restaurant you may expect to eat high quality fish food, but this was the worst fish food we ever had. We ordered the prawn and a simple Italian salad. The prawn were definitely not fresh, we even had serious doubts if they were not rotten, given the slimy substance and... More

Amazing location and view. We stopped here for a lunch during our visit to Porto Venere. Salad with tuna and various greens and various cold cuts with cheese for starters and spaghetti with mussels and fried calamari as main course. Everything was surprisingly delicious and I say this cause Porto Venere is very touristy. Service was very efficient although way... More

Fantastic location; situated at the point beyond Porto Venere where the a narrow channel breaks through between the island of Palmaria and the mainland. Here during the day the sea is a glacial green; the limestone rock on the sea bed reflecting back the the bright sunlight, up to the surface. But we were dining at night and had walked... More
