I ate here with some Russian friends as this was recommended as one of the better restaurants in the area. The menu was predominately fish main courses as you would expect, but as I was "fished out" I opted for the entrecôte, which was excellent and more than enough to eat. I wasn't offered the preference of how I wanted... More

Like many other reviewers, we were attracted by the location of this restaurant. It is is an amazing location, right by the water beneath the old church. Unfortunately the service and food (everything else it offers other than the view) were poor. The staff could not have cared less whether diners were enjoying their experience. The food was plentiful, but... More

We chose this restaurant for its location and interesting menu, not (just) the tourist specials. It's much more upmarket than all the other sea front restaurants. The big surprise for us was portion size ... And good quality ... Although not amazing taste bud blowing. I started with the seafood selection ... Massive, enough for 2 or a main course... More

I ate spaghetti with mussels. The spaghetti is not well cooked, so I need to chew the pasta a lot. The owner of the restaurant is very helpful and friendly. The landscape of the restaurant is good.

We really stopped here to enjoy the view and have a light lunch. The location is the furthest point from town, which made it a bit less crowded than most. We thought it was a little pricey, but were willing to pay the extra for view. What was a pleasant surprise, was how delicious the food was. We shared a... More

We only had a few hours in Porto Venere and wanted to find somewhere for lunch which was easy to get to but slightly away from the main strip of restaurants - Le Bocche was perfect. We had a table overlooking the water which was just beautiful - we had a lovely time watching the world go by. The food... More

My husband and I held our wedding reception at this very elegant venue two years ago and we returned last night whilst in Portovenere for our anniversary. The setting is truly beautiful and unique with its panoramic views of the sea and gulf of poets. The atmosphere is relaxed and the style is contemporary and very tasteful. We rate the... More

Six of us arrived in Portovenere by boat with about three hours for lunch and strolling before the return trip to the Cinque Terre. Before we even docked, my French son-in-law Fabrice had selected Le Bocche for its location -- as far as possible the center of the town. We sat outside for a fine lunch (I loved watching my... More

This lounge bar/restaurant was built on a rocky cliff facing the sea and the nearby islets. We had a light lunch there, sitting outdoors on a sunny weekend in spring. The food was very good, genuine, with an excellent choice of local seafood (we had fried cuttlefish, boiled octopus with potatoes, salted anchovies served with butter, spaghetti with mussels) and... The food is average, nice atmosphere but the service is slow and waitresses are incredible unpolite, not willing to work.
