A family dinner

This fish restaurant is a little bit further away from the very touristic area of Porto Santo Stefano so you can enjoy a cosy terrace overlooking the sea. Service was attentive and food was local , authentic and good.

We had a very good fish meal on a lovely terrace looking out onto the sea. The restaurant is located in a quiet street adjacent to the port; it has a romantic atmosphere to it. The menu on offer includes some very original fish dishes. Acceptable price. Service up to standards.

We expected a lot from this beautiful restaurant with amazing sea view and beautiful tables. We received a crostini on the house which was fantastic. We ordered a bottle of wine wich was delicious. But then we ordered steak a fiorentina. This is meat frilled with olive oil and herbs. It went completely wrong. Although there were only two tables... More

Don't come here if you like meat. There is virtually no meat on the menu; however the selection of fresh fish is, as could be expected, very good. We hade primi of which the pasta carbonara was the sharper dish. The spigola - sea bass - was a very good main dish that I would recommend to patrons of Ristorante... More

Great local fish in a casual atmosphere and not expensive. Of all the local restaurants, da Orlando seemed to be making more effort and this showed in the quality of the food and service. Everyone's gets the same fish from the fishermen and markets, but Orlando seems to serve it up with more panache and very little more cost. Good... More

The best restaurant in Porto Santo Stefano. The food is always exciting and inventive and I have eaten many happy meals at Da Orlando, enjoying the company of the owner who is immensely knowledgeable about the region, its food and its wine and his wife who cooks everything superbly. A wonderful sophisticated eating experience above the harbour in a beautiful... More

Now that is out of season only open at the weekends. Owner Andrea serves and wife cooks. If it is was not for the Romanian waitress the evening would have been very disappointing. However the food is good. Spaghetti Vongole with bottarga and pancotti with salsa bottarga excellent. White wine from maremma Sauvignon very good local wine. Main dish had... More

We took owner's recommendation for assorted antipasto to start. It was so wonderful. It was almost a meal itself. There were five mini dishes. Fried calamari. Octopus salad with bread crumbs. Shrimps with julienne of zucchini. Carpaccio of fish and crostini with warm clam sauce. It was so wonderful. Main was baked whole Seabass with aromatic vegetables. Great desserts too.... More

I visited Porto Santo Stefano for business last week and decided to try Da Orlando based on TA reviews. IThe meal was very poor. I am not sure if it had to do with the fact that it was off season and they were slow (only two tables filled while we were there) but the fish was bland, the potatoes... More
