Nice atmosphere

We had dinner here and found it to be average. A little on the expensive side if you bring a family. Nice people but not my best meal. I would try it again just to see if I would have a better meal choice.

We were still full from lunch, but we were glad that we did not skip this wonderful restaurant. The decor is somewhat random, but the food was too notch. We love to be surprised. We did not know what to expect with the appetizer flan with vegetables, but it was delicious. The eggplant was excellent as well. Our meals were... More

Very tasty, home made and innovative traditional food. Simply the best dinner we had during the full week we spent in Toscana. Great hospitality and reasonable prices. Don't miss the desert. ..

You'll nearly miss this little gem but hopefully you'll find it here and seek it out in little hilltop Orvieto. What a a terrific casual meal we had here. We weren't going to make the journey back up the hill but really it's not that bad in the car. Will take you longer to walk from parking then drive up.... More

We were running late due to a plane delay, but Angelo kept the restaurant open for our late lunch anyway. We let him decide the food and we did not regret a second. All the food was great, especially the antipastis were excellent. We really enjoyed our lunch in this pleasant Osteria, but unfortunately had no room left to taste... More

We ate here as part of a tour so didn't choose the restaurant on our own, and I'm not sure we would have noticed it on our own! But the food was delicious - pasta was terrific. They seemed very attuned also to what was in season, so wild boar and artichokes were prominent features on the menu when we... More

I ate here in November with a small group. It is a small restaurant hidden on a back street in the hill town of Orvieto. Everything was fresh made by the young chef. We were served a pre set menu as a small group. They brought out what looked like a slice of pistachio semifreddo but it was actually a... More

Once your eyes get past the strange decor on the way in (it's kind of like entering into a cross between the planetarium, a hommage to Orvieto of yesteryear and a kids bedroom) the menu makes Osteria Numero Uno one of the most pleasant culinary experiences to be had. The backroom's decor is much more subdued, thankfully. But the front... More

Authentic.... Authentic... Authentic. Only locals go here, so you know it is good! Enjoyed the polenta appetizer and the gnocchi. Great wines by the glass. Highly recommend this family owned restaurant!
