Osteria with gluten-free kitchen (certified AIC), we serve traditional italian food with a selected list of Umbria's Wines. Antica Cantina is a Smart place to stay, at least for us: after all, if you ask the landlord how is the wine, he Will always answers that is good !! We are women, we like to host people, see their smile and feel good. See you there!

We were visiting Orvieto and stopped in for lunch. Off season is always dicey, and most places near the funicular were closed. We pressed in up into the ZTL and found this place. Only one local was eating when we walked in, but the place had a nice rustic vibe and we stayed. Service was wonderful. We each had the... More

Our B&B recommended this for lunch. Very friendly service even if they do not speak a lot of English. I selected the special fresh pasta (vegetarian) which was very good. My husband ordered the chicken dish typical of the region and he raved about it. We would definitely go back.

A group of 7 had lunch here as part of our stop in Orvieto in the middle of an excursion during our cruise. Having lunch here is as much of an attraction as all the other things to do in Orvieto. Dont hold back from ordering and sharing its appetizers, if you are lucky you will have a chance to... More

I spent three weeks eating my way through Italy, dining in restaurants at every price point and this is one of my favorites. It is very simple, and I dropped in for lunch without any lofty expectations. What a surprise - across the board, this was some of the best food we had in Italy. The homemade soups are really... This restaurant was recommended to us by our friends, who had already been there and loved it. In fact, all four of us went there together. The restaurant, also named L'osteria delle donne, has inside and outside seatings. We preferred the outside, as it seemed to us that the fresh air (despite the July heat) was somewhat better than the... More

Delicious food and fabulous service. We had huge crew of friends and family--20 total--for lunch. They got us situated comfortably without stressing out about our various negotiations w/each other. We ate combo of pasta, salads and beef, all of which were fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!!

What a find! Traditional Umbrian cuisine with many gluten-free options. We dined out on the deck and enjoyed a long summer evening in Orvieto. Since this was our first night during our holiday we overdid it by going full course. The portions are rather large, especially the pork shank which we should have split. But being in Italy just take... More

Nearly all the dishes can be produced without gluten. Better yet, on hearing that one of us was allergic to maize and intolerant of lactose, they produced dishes that caused no problems, and were delicious too. As for the ham hock my wife ate, I can only say that it must have come from a well-fed specimen. The Empress of... More
