We found this haven with great food on a very hot day in thus lovely town. Sitting under the white canopy and finding a taster menu that all of us fancied was great. A marvellous meal followed which we all enjoyed.

Went here for lunch. Ask to be seated in the garden. It's truly wonderfull. We took a glass of prosecco and some italian ham as antipasta. After that we ordered the ravioli (they got another name for that, but sadly i forgot) with truffle. It was excellent. I'd recommend to take a 'dolce' (dessert) as this is where this place... More

The dishes based on black truffle were delicious, while snails and pigeon ones were acceptable but not something special. The restaurant has 8 tables inside and when it is full, the service may become problematic (we had to wait more than 30 minutes for just two readily available desserts) and the personnel may result incredibly impolite. If you don't want to eat "affettati" (sliced ham, salami and bruschetta) and umbrichelli (home-made thich spaghetti - Very good by the way) but some more sophisticated food like saddle of venison or foie gras or similar, sit in a lòovely garden just behind the Duomo of Irvieto, drink some nice bottle of wine from the big selection - and... We spent a dinner in a company of six people and i would not recommend to visit this restaurant unless you are a first time "wow" tourist. There are many much better places in orvieto to eat. The only good thing about this restaurant is the lovely garden.

June 21 was the festa of Corpus Christi in Orvieto and the spectacle of hundreds of citizens garbed in medieval dress processing through town left our group hungry and looking for a bit of peace. There were plenty of tourists to add to the crowds of the faithful and this doorway in the corner by a church looked promising and... More

Very good fusion of tastes and textures. We had fish appetizers and entres which we enjoyed. The semolina cake was excellent. Wine selection is very good.

On a recent trip from Florence to Rome, we hired a private car and stopped in Orvieto on the way. Our guide graciously sent us to I Sette Consoli which he told us had a Michelin star, but more importantly, was in the Slow Food guide. The restaurant is in a small square next to a church, somewhat hidden away.... More

The restaurant is small, built from the old sacristy of the neighboring church. The food was excellent, the ambiance clean and formal. The service was perfect. One young woman served all the tables, and didn't miss a beat. The food was top rate. I had the roast pigeon for dinner. I had never had it before, but I though it... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant. The first visit was a year ago. Both times we have had the fixed price chef's menu. On this visit the menu was six courses including a cheese course and dessert. The food was beautifully prepared, seasoned, and presented. The service here is professional, low key, and unobtrusive. The wine list is... More
