The origins of this restaurant are deep in the sacristy of the adjacent church of S. Angelo; the rooms have been excavated out of the rock; in summer we make use of the beautiful back garden. The garden has a view of the Orvieto cathedral.

Italian cousin gourmet

Nice restaurant perfectly located on the main walking street of the town is ideal point to have a lunch in between you site-seeing adventures in Orvieto. Full of local specialities both in tasty and crispy Umbrian hit wines as well as meals with the pigeon meat.

Ok, so this tiny little spot boasts a Michelin Star and it is more than worthy. It was recommended to us by the proprietor of the inn we stayed at just outside of Orvieto. The interior screams classy with unique art work hanging on the walls in tasteful fashion. And the food....OMG..... every bite absolutely perfecto! We had shrimp carpaccio... More

We really enjoyed the dinner in the garden, excellent cousine, fine Mediterranean food, good choice, several drinks and vines. Friendly and committed staff, we will return for sure, just a matter of time.

We came across this restaurant by accident and looked very nice so decided to book for last night. When we entered we were taken to the garden and our table.which was booked for 20.00. There was no other customers either inside or out - the place lacked atmosphere with bright lights and no candles or music - just a glass... More

The environment of Orvieto at night plus this delicious restaurant makes your night. It is probably the best in town according to an Italian who made a large reservation. The place is fantastic and so is their menu. A must for fine dining in Orvieto.

I Sette Consoli is an understated gem, and one that is fit for foodies in a city already a star for many visitors who come to Orvieto for the fine local foods. On a cool late summer evening we enjoyed the outdoor, tented dining space with just three other tables of couples. The dining room inside was empty, each table... More

Well worth visiting in Orvieto for a gastronomic delight, with a wonderful, elegant outdoor dining area. Highly recommended are the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and zucchini sauce, and the turbot. I loved spicy Gorgonzola, which was served with Szechuan pepper and bits of chocolate, and my son loved his "Chocolate Triumph"!

I went to this restaurant following a recommendation in Fedor's travel guide. Unfortunately the restaurant is over priced and over rated. The food is good but too expansive for what it really is. As if the menu was not expensive enough, they have all those extra charges that I find completely annoying in a restaurant that pretends to be well... More

This is a real gem of a restaurant hidden away in the corner of a square just off the main drag. A charming, elegant room with 10 tables. The main menu is seasonal and mouthwatering, I could have eaten everything on it. We went for the a la carte instead of the menu gastronomique and between us must have had... More

My wife & I were on our final day of a 10 day trip through Tuscany & Umbria. Our guide & friend, Romana, had gotten to know us very well after being together for only two days. She understood what we enjoyed from a dining experience and led us here. Off of the main street, and in a corner not... More
