On our first night in Orvieto we decided to eat at Mezza Luna as it had good reports in a guide book we had. We found the place late afternoon in one of the lovely old Streets of Orvieto and a local was nearby so we asked him what it was like and he said it was a great place... More

Mezza Luna was our favorite restaurant in Orvieto. It is a local restaurant with great food at very reasonable prices. Carbonara was primo!

Very much enjoyed the neighborhoody atmosphere, the no frills but friendly service and the home made pasta. Will certainly go there again when in Orvieto next.

I have been coming to Italy for 30 years, I speak Italian, I know the quirkiness of some of the etiquette around eating, Allora, I have never been treated so inhospitabley as I was here. I went at a busy time, so, was not in a hurry, waiter was brusk, did not want to engage in my broken yet pretty... More

The bed and breakfast that we stayed at in Orvieto recommended this restaurant for its great spaghetti alla carbonara. We couldn't have been more pleased. The spaghetti alla carbonara was so good we ate here twice in our 3 day stay in Orvieto. The spaghetti alla carbonara was very good, tasty, and the portions were also large. It was also... More

Food is good, the speciality is the spaghetti carbonara and you should try before other plate, there are just few tables so you need to reserved if you want to go. Staff friendly and prices are average.

It was just okay..I wouldn't seek it out. I'm sure there must be better in town. The waiter was friendly and service was good. We were the only ones there are 12:30 pm but filled up,shortly after with a mix of tourists and possibly locals.

Finally found it since the sign is almost totally obscured with a bush. Server - owner? said two words the entire time. Ordered a 1/2 liter of wine and two carbonara. Carbonara was good but the pancetta was 80% fat with little lean meat. Very tasty but did not eat the pancetta. Very large portions and very reasonable at 7... More

This place was spectacular - I will never look at Carbonara in the same way again, unless I return (which I absolutely must - worth the trip to Orvieto alone!) Bustling restaurant, full of locals, delightfully friendly staff (a language barrier meant that, when we asked about taxis, our waiter took of his apron and drove us to our hotel)... More

Carbonara will never be the same again... Unless I get back to this place! Bustling with locals, delicious and very reasonably priced food, and tucked away from the busy tourist streets. A fantastic atmosphere, huge portions. Worth going back to Orvieto just to go there!
