Incredible

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Orvieto as the best restaurant in the town. The meal was incredible - I'd say it's one of the best meals I've had in Italy in the five years I've lived here. Don't miss the Nidi di Rondine and the Pecorino souffle with fave but... read more

Had one of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten in Italy. Charming service and helpful recommendations, couldn't fault it.

We have just returned from a long anticipated dinner at Trattoria del Moro and rate it as the worst meal we have had in Umbria. The doors opened at 7 P.M. and Americans poured in,filling every table.People were soon turned away.I can only explain what we were served as an assumption Americans do not know better. We were served tagliatellia with truffles... If you are looking for outstanding down-home cooking look no further. This was one of the best dinners we had in Italy!!! It was like eating in some Italian Nana's kitchen. The food was so fresh and filled with flavor. We ate here our 1st night in Orvieto and then the second night we were kicking ourselves that we did... More

After reading previous reviews I feel very lucky to have got a table unreserved. I did go early and the weather was miserably cold. I got the Italian menu but it was politely explained when asked. My pasta with truffle and porcini were perfect but the tiramisu was to die for. I'd go back for more if I could! I... More

The restaurant is run by a family. The food is traditional and very very good. They only accept limited guests and once its full, the doors are shut. The cameriere will recommend the wine which will go with your meals. If you ever visit Orvieto this restaurant is a must. Just remember if you prefer fatty food, then this is... More

Average to below average in every way. Bland, overcooked, uninteresting, and on the expensive side. The only truly unsatisfying meal I had in 3 weeks across Italy.

I really enjoyed our lunch in this non fuss local osteria. The service was very friendly, the pappardelle to die for and the ambience relaxed and vibrant.

This place is as good as they say! Awesome food, great wine and spectacular desserts. We didn't have a reservation, but went on the basis of first in, best dressed at 7-7.30 and didn't have a problem getting a table.... and later tho and we would have had to wait!

This restaurant came highly recommended by the owner of the hotel where we were staying in Orvieto. It is a family run establishment which has been in business for many years. We were encouraged to get a reservation and we were happy we did as many were turned away on a busy Saturday night. The waiter seated us and helped... More
