Great fresh dishes and attentive service

We were wandering after Mass and were drawn to La Pergola because of the fresh ingredients on the menu. The antipasti appetizer introduced us to local cured meats, including smoked breast of goose. The homemade pasta featured a sauce with truffles (of course, it's Umbria) and squash blossoms. We... read more

We were recommended this restaurant by a fellow walker and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and we had 1/2 L of Orvieto wine (for 6 Euros) which was just the right amount. On the second night, as we hadn't booked, we ate in the covered area at the rear which even in spite of the rain was... More

We had a nice dinner here. Ambiente was good and enjoyed back patio in the heart of medieval Orvieto listening to the wheeling swallows overhead.

We've been there twice now as the tagliatelle with duck was delicious. But tonight two of us ordered beef and it was inedible it was so tough. We didn't complain.. just left it on the plate but no query from the waitress. Pity as the restaurant has a nice feeling with great staff.

I regret to say that I am submitting this review some days after eating here, and do not remember for sure what we ordered. However, I do remember that we enjoyed it thoroughly and want to give it 2 thumbs up. The and service were both 4.0s, and the house wine (an Orvieto white) I do remember...it was exceptionaly good.

In the heart of orvieto is a quaint restaurant with a nice balance of food and wine. We shared a mixed anti pasta, duck ragu tagliatelle and a slow cooked cingale or wild boar dish topped off by cheese cake and wild berries. All very tasty with a tad too much salt for my taste. All very reasonably priced, quick... More

An OK dinner but nothing spectacular compared to other meals we had in the area. As mentioned elsewhere, we had the house wine which was below par.

We ate here for lunch several days ago. I had a salad and a plate of various cheeses, and a bowl of soup with faro, beans, spinach that was some of the best soup I have had anywhere. The restaurant features locally grown Umbrian fare. The decor is modern and tasteful, lots of color and wood, tasteful lighting with low... More

We stopped for lunch after taking the underground tour. The restaurant quickly filled up with Italians so we knew we had made a good choice. The house red wine is a bit austere but it improves as you eat. Visited May 21, 2015.

Our reservation was for 8:00. Upon our arrival I was concerned as the restaurant was not crowed. Within one half hour every table was taken. I had the tagliatelle with duck along with the duck prepared with fennel and I totally enjoyed it. My husband's arabiata was equally good. The house wine was not good. Order wine by the bottle.
