Description: L‘ingrediente principale della nostra cucina è l’amore. Mentre i dessert spaziano dai classici della pasticceria, a originali combinazioni di golosità____The principal ingredient of our kitchen is love. Love for the high-quality products of the territory – Umbrian and Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil, chianina beef, truffles, cheeses – and for the magical blends of new and subtle flavors, the underlying premise of the gastronomic journey we propose. Dishes based on fish betray oriental inspiration, grafted onto Tuscan roots. Desserts range from the classics of the pastry chef to original mouth-watering delicacies.

It was Saturday night in Orvieto. Streets were packed and restaurants overflowing, music (Not Italian serenades!!!!) blasting away. We turned in the opposite direction and found a garden of tranquility, opposite the major Duomo. There were four other people. The staff of two gave us a gracious welcome. The menu had a variety of offerings. We each picked an appetizer and... More

We visited here whilst staying or Orvieto a few weeks back. I had the duck and my husband had the Lamb. We did not have a starter or a desert although they did being us aperitifs before our main meal. We went for our evening meal and although it was a shame we couldn't sit outside it was a little... Sitting outside on an August evening eating good food and drinking Orvieto at source. Friendly service and not unreasonably priced for standard and location.

We arrived at their closing, but had wonderful services and unsurpassed pasta, veal, and dessert. Wine prices were reasonable.

Ate here with family at lunchtime after being turned away from a place a couple of doors down by a surly restaurateur. The waiter at Il Giglio was very friendly, menu was in English as well as Italian and the view of the Cathedral if you sit outside is excellent. The food is traditional Italian, unfussy but tasty, excellent espressos... More

Service was unconsiderate, slow and not in accordance with any reasonable expectation. It seems that we were a nuisance to them. Food was only OK

We booked lunch here in advance by email exchange. It's been raining in Italy and today was our first day of sun. We also chose this restaurant for the recommended food AND due to the view of the Duomo. We arrived and they refused to allow us to sit outside - at the tables and chairs all set up outside... More

Five of us recently chanced upon this restaurant just opposite the duomo. What a find! The friendly and knowledgable waitress talked us through the menu, helping us to make a choice from the enticing range of starters, mains and desserts. We all chose differently and were wowed with the quality, taste and presentation of each dish as it arrived. Absolutely... More

This restaurant is in front of the majestic Duomo of Orvieto and it's close to other "touristic" restaurants. You can recognise this restaurant by the nice cutlery and nice small tablecloths. So you can recognise attention to details in this way. Then the food is surprising. Very fast service and very tasty food. Traditional recipes revised in modern way. Try... More
