Great spot with friendly staff

We ordered risotto with truffle which was very good and with a lot of truffle - kind of expensive though, but good - and we have wild pork for second dish. All pretty good and the also served some conventional gluten-free bread for us which was nice.

We ate here in September and had a good experience. The atmosphere was real nice, the staff was also real nice, and the food was good not great. In all I would try this place again.

Excellent local food. It is a large, loud, busy restaurant and it does fill up, so book ahead. If pork products are not your thing, best to avoid. (Same could be said of the whole town...) The sausages and lentils are a must. Seriously, one of the best things I have ever eaten. The bread, made in house, is fantastic.... More

My wife and I went on a gastronomic tour of Italy and we spend five nights at the Grotta Azzurra in Norcia. The restaurant served absolutely spectacular food. I would be hard pressed to say which was my favorite dish although they did have a wood burning grill that turned out fantastic grilled meats. The pasta dishes were divine with... More

Whether you eat inside or on the (rather cramped) terrace, the quality of the food and the service, along with set menus or carte, this is a lovely, family run restaurant. The manager/owner loves to show you around the vaulted rooms inside, especially the large, open fire where all the meat is roasted on order. Wonderful!

Norcia is known for truffels, though you should not expect any spectacular taste when not in truffle season. Anyway, we enjoyed the meal at this restaurant, ordering also food without truffles which was good. The service was ok, but the wine recommendations were not good. The terrace is nice, but be sure to make a reservation as it gets full... More

We were staying across the street at Palazzo Seneca and were not in the mood for a more formal dining experience for dinner. So we opted for this place. It is a huge restaurant and I was relieved when we were seated at a small table in the back that was more intimate. The fire was blazing and there was... More

I have only tried the restaurant. For me the meal was quite salty. And the soups quite thick. The waiters did their very best but they only spoke a few words english. Very nice atmosphere.

This is a large restaurant. It has some very large rooms used to feed large tourist groups. We walked through these and the two of us were seated in a smaller room with a hearth and a much more friendly atmosphere. There were a number of servers in our room and the service was very good. Looking over the menu,... More

The complete fixed price menus and the large fireplace earned this restaurant a mention in the Michelin guide. Fair enough. BUT: this is an enormous facility with a labyrinth of rooms, so you may never see the hearth. The courses in the fixed price menu are below average, so you get what you pay for. Large school crowds and tour... More
