I had high hopes for Cafe Poliziano, but the service is sub-standard and I stood at the counter waited to be seated more than once waiting for a seat without anyone bothering and on both occasions left without service. I ate there a couple of times and the food is good if you've got time to wait... read more

We decided to give this cafe a chance after buying some art from a painter who suggested it as an expensive place to eat but worth every Euro. We are from the Seattle area and are very used to expensive meals.....this is not expensive but it is delicious. Our waiter was very tuned into our needs around allergies. The house... More

I wandered into this cafe in June some years ago and had a salad and coffee on the gorgeous terrace with those incredible views! I also was very impressed by the cafe inside. I was back in Montepulciano a few weeks ago with friends and despite reading the recent poor reviews wanted to show them this beautiful place! We were... More

We were brought here by our guide while visiting Montepulciano. This was an excellent restaurant with a spectacular view. The food was quiet good and the price very reasonable . The service was also quality. This was a memorable place - one of the best restaurants we ate in in Italy.

We spent 4 days in Montepulciano in March and every morning we stopped at Cafe Poliziano for the best cappuccino and espresso in the area. The ambience is great for a morning visit and the pastry was fabulous. Michaela, makes the best cappuccino. Thanks Michaela for adding to a great visit. Can't wait to return.

Had lunch there. It was good food - maybe the portions could have been a bit bigger given the cost. View from the terrasse below the entry are amazing. Service was slow and not extremely helpful. Waited 15min to order desert (which we then skipped). Another 10min to get the bill while standing at the bar waiting only for that...

We just wanted to drink a Montepulciano vino nobile and we were served the regular wine.. we really like Tuscan wine so we could tell the difference. More than that one person in our party was a professional sommelier.. After we notified the waiter that what he brought is not what we ordered he brought the real thing.. however when... More

Very charming place for coffee and pastries and sandwiches. Lovely atmosphere inside. Try to get a table by the windows for awesome views. Decent price, local hangout, great place to take a break from climbing all the hills.

Walking in you feel like you´ve gone back in time ... only that the delicious cakes and wonderful cafe aroma lets you know you are here now and can´t wait to try some of the cakes, excellent cappucino. Walking through the cafe you come to the balcony overlooking the Tuscany hills wherever you look, enjoy the magnificent sunset. Choose from... More
