This a great place to go if you want a great steak. 2 seatings, family style. Fun atmosphere. We had the steak, a few sides and dessert. YUM!

This is such a unique experience! There are two seatings at Osteria Acquacheta and that is it. You MUST have a reservation or you are out of luck! This restaurant was recommended to us last time we were here (4 years ago) by our hotel concierge. It is a family style seating place, so you are sitting at a table... More

Acquacheta is probably my favorite restaurant in Italy. Not only is the food fantastic, but it's incredibly reasonable and I give great credit to Giulio for keeping his prices affordable and the quality very good. I also tip my hat to his selection of a house red which, at 8 euro a liter is amazingly good and complements the Fiorentinas... More

What an amazing experience. This place was packed when we walked up for lunch around 1:45 but it quickly cleared out and we were seated "family style" next to another couple from San Fran. There's only one wine (3 euro 1/2 liter and it was awesome) and you have to use the same glass for your water and your wine... More

We ate here one evening (at the 7.30 sitting), based on a recommendation from family who had eaten here earlier in the year. We were glad we had booked as there were people queuing up outside waiting for it to open, all of whom were turned away if they didn't have a reservation (and this was a Monday night in... More

We ate here on our first night and it was the most fun we had at dinner. They have two sittings, 7ish and 9ish, you need to book but they don't take bookings via email (we asked our hotel to book for us and had no problems). Shared tables, we really enjoyed getting to know those around us, they seemed... More

This place was recommended to us by the landlord of our agriturismo we stayed an two guests of this agriturismo. Based on these recommendations and our general experience we had with Italian Restaurants we had our expectations when we entered this restaurant. Unfortunately there were several things happening which we did not like at all. Generally, the Italian Restaurants we... More

The guy that runs this place is a little like the soup nazi from Seinfeld! A "meat artist"! Don't even dare tell him you want a small steak or how you want it done! He is a real character and we enjoyed every part of the evening! You MUST have a reservation, at least for the first seating which is... More

This traditional osteria makes an unforgettable Florentine steak to order. The owner takes requests for weight of each steak (the average being 1.6 kg and the minimum around 1 kg). Then, he cuts the meat, confirms the weight with his guest, and cooks it for about 7 mins per side in a large open wood oven. It is an experience... More

Definitely not your run of the mill restaurant! The atmosphere, theatre, service and location all come together here to deliver a fun experience that shouldn't be missed. Fully booked on a Wednesday night in October, you need to reserve a place. The food is basic Tuscany style, but great quality and value for money, and the steaks are just jaw... More
