A unique opportunity to taste our wines and olive oil paired with local specialities prepared by Lilian's kitchen. Tasting of our wines paired with traditional Montepulciano cuisine in the striking refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria dei Servi (AD1200) and on the terrace overlooking San Biagio and the Val, d'Orcia. Reservations recommended.

Problem solved

We had been recommended to this restaurant by the boss of our accommodation as the best in town. We arrived with friends and inspected the wine cellars that went down probably 40 feet and maybe 500 years. Then went up to the dining hall that was magnificent high ceilinged room. We chose the mixed... read more

We stop by to take a look for wines, the owner's daughter invite us to see the cellar and we saw the cold cuts & cheeses which looks so good. So we decide to dine here. The food was very good, the wines are great. The friendly owner got a little party in the big table behind us with good... More

Never done the meal, but if the snacks with the tastings in 2013 were any indication, it would be worth it The chef is the wife of one of the Owners. I dealt with Daniele, another owner and had an enjoyable time. She made us feel at home even though the place was full with a tour group. Nice cellar... More

The restaurant s owned and operated by a brother and sister who are both hands on and very accommodating. No point in describing each course. The wines, Red and White, were all quite good. And then there's the food. Bruschettas are great, cheeses exceptional, pastas delicious and the meats (and rabbit) prepared with loving care. That's about it. Experience it... More

We enjoyed and amazing lunch with great wine, service and view. We bought several bottles of the wine we enjoyed at lunch and later wished we had bought a case!

We had a lunch in this place after visiting its "cantine" and having tasted the wine they produce. It was an unforgettable experience, food was both typical and original, but above all delicious, wine was superb, and there was a small live music show that really helped make the atmosphere unique. We enjoyed it very much and I strongly recommend... More

Quite deceiving when you walk upon the Osteria in the off season as it appears closed, but the owner came running out to assure us they were indeed open and invited us to taste Vino nobile and enjoy some pecorino from Pienza. Staff spoke of the long history of Gattavecchi, invited us to see the cellar and we were then... More
