A unique opportunity to taste our wines and olive oil paired with local specialities prepared by Lilian's kitchen. Tasting of our wines paired with traditional Montepulciano cuisine in the striking refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria dei Servi (AD1200) and on the terrace overlooking San Biagio and the Val, d'Orcia. Reservations recommended.

We enjoyed and amazing lunch with great wine, service and view. We bought several bottles of the wine we enjoyed at lunch and later wished we had bought a case!

We had a lunch in this place after visiting its "cantine" and having tasted the wine they produce. It was an unforgettable experience, food was both typical and original, but above all delicious, wine was superb, and there was a small live music show that really helped make the atmosphere unique. We enjoyed it very much and I strongly recommend... More

Quite deceiving when you walk upon the Osteria in the off season as it appears closed, but the owner came running out to assure us they were indeed open and invited us to taste Vino nobile and enjoy some pecorino from Pienza. Staff spoke of the long history of Gattavecchi, invited us to see the cellar and we were then... More

Went for lunch whilst on a visit to Montepulciano's Christmas market. When went through door we weren't sure it was open but when directed upstairs to the barn like restaurant absolutely heaving with families with children visiting Father Christmas in the church a little further up the hill! Nevertheless, a really warm welcome from the owner and after a few... More

We ate here two different nights and had some fantastic dishes!! We tried the rabbit, pasta with fungi, pasta with duck (to die for) and some of their steak dishes. They have a cool cellar that you can visit on your own, and good wine! The staff was welcoming and pleasant. We spent a total of three weeks in Italy... More

This place was amazing. I had a little trouble finding it but that's cause I can't follow directions and took a wrong turn!!! The staff is so welcoming, I felt like family! The wine is spectacular and I even enjoyed the Vernacchia - I never like white wine!!!! THe food was amazing - I had pasta with mushrooms and my... More

we have been traveling through Italy for two weeks. This was one of the longest lunches we encountered in our trip with very poor service. The food is okay but nothing to die for - it's not worth the wait. The servers are too busy and not on top of the tables for a decent service. The steak was over... More
