Great traditional food

The food is amazing and so is the atmosphere. Got lucky to get it on Easter and had a traditional Easter spinach pie of some sort of which was given for free for the visitors. Also had a nice Etruscan rabbit meal and it was superb. The sauce was excellent and the dish was of a "kind size". Very... read more

I ate dinner here on a recent trip to Montepulciano. It was AMAZING!! I couldn't believe how amazing the food was and it made me wish I'd eaten here the night before instead of the other restaurant I ate at. Great location as well. I definitely recommend.

Great place for either lunch or dinner. Seemed like plenty of locals eating there, which is often a good indication that it is good. We had the vegetable soup which was outstanding. Service was very attentive.

Had the Tagliatelle with Cinta Senese’s Ragù, it was delicious. Service was good and fast. We didn't have a lot of time to spend there as we were travelling between towns. They were able to get us the check quickly, which was appreciated as this seems to be a very difficult thing to do in Italy. Definitely worth a visit.

This is what makes travel so magical. An excellent dinner from a stunning location with an unbeatable sunset view. The service was gracious and the food and wine were top notch. If you're in Montepulciano, be sure to stop here for at least one meal.

Italy has to be known for its restaurants with great views and this is another one, and superb pasta and a great bottle of wine. It doesn't get much better and this place has it all. A fabulous city to visit and dine. the excellence award is very deserving.

We stayed next door and enjoyed wonderful and reasonably priced meals there with a great staff most of whom were fluent in English.

Duck ragu and pici! What could be finer? Having lunch with Francesco serving us and dining with the local master coppersmith, Cesare Mazzetti of Ramaio! Both are a must do in Montepuliciano!

We stopped here for lunch and were lucky as they had some white truffle specials. The tagliatelli with white truffles was excellent as was the rabbit main. The staff were nice, athough I asked for a dry white wine and got a sweeter one, but this was the only hick-up in an otherwise very nice lunch.
