We really enjoyed the food! the place was almost empty when we got there, and we were the last couple to leave the place when they started closing it. The menu is not the typical italian menu- there are many modern dishes that are a very nice surprise to find outside the big cities. The place is a bit upscale... More

Stopped for an excellent lunch on a recent trip to Tuscany. The menu offers dishes not found on most restaurants. The food was great, the prices reasonable and the view is to die for. The restaurant is in the countryside south of Montepulciano on the road to Chianciano Terme just outside the village of Sant Albino on the right up... More

We were staying at Il Serraglio (an amazing farmhouse just outside Montepulciano). On our host's recommendation, we visited La Casina, a local restaurant. This was the most pleasant surprise of our trip to Tuscany. Not only were we extremely lucky to have found our B&B, Il Serraglio, we also discovered La Casina. The owners of this restaurant, Ricardo and Loretta... More

We were staying near by at Il Serraglio and Agriturismo. It was Sunday and we had neglected to fill up our car and could not find an open gas station. We felt that we had just enough fumes to get to the gas station the next morning. We mentioned this to our host Roberto and he called the restaurant and... More

About 8km from Montepulciano so don't look for it there although its listed there under Tripadvisor. It about 1km outside the village of Sant Albino on the way to Chianciano Terme set just off the road to the right, sigmnposted, you can't miss it. Seats about 20 inside with a nice terrance seating slightly less with a good view. A... More

Liked the ambience, staff/owner welcoming and friendly. Visited on January 1st and cold outside but nice and warm inside. Simple decor but great food. Relatives had florentina (looked like half a cow) probably nearer to T-bone steak but tried and meat was meltingly tender. Florentina was expensive but would have srved at least 3 people

We were on our way to Montepulciano, a bit lost and hungry when we saw a little house on a hill that looked like a restaurant. Noticing that it was quite full with locals we decided to try it out. We could not have been more pleased. First off the view from the porch is amazing. Secondly the food was... More

We spent 3 weeks touring from Rome to Venice by car, Tuscany is just amazing an the hill town of Montepulciano is no exception. We sat on the terrace overlooking the countryside sampling there fine food and local wine. This place has a real ambience and i was amazed how we just melted into the chairs totally absorbed in what... More

Enroute to our next destination we pulled into La Casina, a small and unassuming restaurant overlooking a valley. Hoping to have a good lunch, to our delight, we had a fabulous lunch. We sat out on the patio with a view of the valley surrounded by locals and grapevines. The owner/chef and a very pleasant waitress tended our table as... More
