Description: Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.

On a chilly Sunday, during the off season, this was just the perfect place for a meal. The food was fantastic-typical Tuscan fare, home cooked and full of flavor. It was indeed comfort food! We recommend it highly and would certainly return again.

Typical tuscan fare...good, not spectacular. Antipasto del conte is nice...prosciutto, cheese, marinated vegetables. The problem is that between each course too much time goes by....we ordered a dessert course and it took forever. It is nice to enjoy your meal slowly but this was excessive...may have been due to a busy Saturday night.

Walking the deserted streets of Montepulciano from our hotel on a cold November night, we wondered if we were mistaken about this restaurant being open. We opened the door and a found it to be almost completely filled with families and a smattering of tourists enjoying their evening meal. What a surprise. The ravioli was probably the best of our... This small but cute restaurant offers very good food and high quality. Price are acceptable! Maybe portion are not too big but fair enough and appropriate.

We have dined here many times during our visits to Montepulciano. The food is very good with a regular menu and nightly specials. The waitresses are attentive and both speak English, one with an Irish lilt. Make reservations while you are touring the Fortezza or Piazza Grande and then return in the evening for a very pleasant meal. The wine... More

We ate here twice this past summer and were very disappointed they were closed while we were in MonteP last week. We can't wait to dine here again. The restaurant has a quaint outdoor eating area and the inside is just as quaint. The food and service were wonderful. They only do fresh seafood on the weekends and the dishes... More

Sweet Irish waitress, with delicious food, and very close to our hotel. We had lunch there so it was open during the middday in November.

We made the mistake of not making a reservation on a Saturday night, but luckily they were able to fit us in at 7:30pm when they open! My husband and I shared the "antipasta toscana" and it was amazing! As our main course, we each got steak (cooked different ways). They were equally delicious! We savored every bite. I found... We limped in here for a very late lunch after our first choice restaurant was too full. Service was a little slow but the food was good (tagliatelle ragu and stuffed calamari). Warm and cosy place on a cold day.

We walked by early on an evening of pea-soup fog. As we were perusing the menu, the woman of the restaurant came out and invited us in. She was so cute and enthusiastic we could not resist! It has a small dining room and we were lucky to get a seat even in the off season. The service was extremely... More
