Description: Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.

This was recommended as a great authentic tuscan restaurant by our hotel, Palazzo Carletti. We were so lucky to get a last minute reservation - we witnessed about 8 groups without reservations being turned away because the restaurant was full. The food was absolute perfection and one of the highlights of our whole trip. Pici with wild boar sauce was... More

Fresh homemade pasta, good size portions, wonderful service, indoor and outdoor seating options. The chef came out to talk to the guests. Very nice bathroom, which is a huge plus!

My husband and I had a great meal here. We both did the fixed four course menu which included starters, a pasta course, a main dish, dessert, glass of wine and espresso for which the value we thought was great. The picci with garlic and tomato sauce was simple and delicious. The meat was great, though we were both quite... More

Had lunch in this fabulous little restaurant. I had the Pici al Ragu, which was homemade and delicious and my husband had the tagliatelle con cinghale(wild boar), which was also great. The service was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed our Nobile wine while eating. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best restaurants in Montepulciano, owned by a family. The food is fresh and the staff is nice. On Friday and Saturday they have fresh fish on the menu. I had a swordfish carpaccio to starter and after that a grilled sea bass and it was delicious! The restaurant is often fully booked so book a... More

Decided to visit this restaurant together with my wife on a recent holiday in Italy. based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor. The quality of the food and friendly staff was as good as anywhere we had eaten during our 10 night holiday, also very good value, it was so good we went there three nights on the trot !... More

There are lots of restaurants having similar Tuscan menus in Montepulciano so we tried this one recommended by our hotel, (Albergo Duomo). We weren't disappointed. The ravioli with sage and butter was excellent. This was followed by the Fiorentina beef cooked rare with Vino Nobile. It was very tasty. A very enjoyable meal topped off with limoncello

This place is popular so ensure you book in advance. Service good, decor good, food good, price very good. Enjoyed our meal here and would return. The pici tomato garlic pasta was simple but excellent. I had the wild boar ragu papperadelle (sp.). The pasta was good although the serve of sauce and meat was so small I couldn't taste... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal here, but the service was not great. While we aren't demanding, we do want to eat eventually. We weren't the only ones waiting which was better. My beef tenderloin was excellent as were the grilled vegetables I had with it.
