Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.

Wow!

Fabulous food pared with Tuscan wines. I had the the prix frixe menu with prefectly prepared steak, pasta with wild boar sauce, a nice variety of anti-pasto and almond biscuits with desert wine. You should stop in!

My husband and I had such a delightful experience here!! It's a small family run restaurant, the chef is a local grandmother and her granddaughter is the waitress, with probably 10 tables. The menu features all local classic dishes and local wines. Both of our Pasta courses were AMAZING!!! The pappardelle with porcinis might have been the best pasta we... More

Very small restaurant with excellent food. Our pasta was excellent--perfectly cooked. Nice wines and friendly, helpful service. Prices are excellent. Be sure to make a reservation since this restaurant fills quickly---and deservedly.

This restaurant in the extraordinarily beautiful Montepulciano is unbelievably fantastic! Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this amazing cuisine. Simple, rustic, inexpensive, full of flavor and quality - this is the best way to describe the food. The service was impeccable. We were treated to our own table set outside just for us as there reservation list... More

We have booked dinner before theatre at this simple restaurant and we have not been disappointed. The dining room is very small and basic. Tables are very close and when the dining room became busy it was very noisy with some difficulties for service and for guests getting in and out. Starter was a typical Tuscan one with cuts of... Excellent wine and service. We had steak (1.25 kilos) but it was a little tough. The rest of the dinner was wonderful!

I have been to Montepulciano a few times and every time I visit this restaurant at least once if not more during my stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is outstanding. I cannot suggest one item - I have tried many of the menu items and never been disappointed. I suggest a reservation - although I... More

A great little restaurant whose owners obviously take their cooking seriously. There is nothing pretensions but just simple good cooking. The ravioli with the local cheese was delicious as was the sautéed beef cooked with olive oil and rosemary. The soft chocolate cake melted in your mouth. All in all a very good meal.

We stayed in the area for 5 nights, and had a dinner at del Conte twice! Very homey atmosphere, pretty good service, tasty food. You could get to see and talk to the owners (even if you don't speak the language). The wine list is a little short though, given we are in Montepulciano! Make sure you have a reservation... More
