Description: Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.

I went there with my boyfriend as suggested by the hotel in which we were staying. Our menu included: homemade "pici all'anatra" (long Tuscan pasta with duck sauce), and grilled lamb, 3/4 litre of wine, a side dish, a dessert and a coffee; coperto for 2 (which includes bread and table service) and we paid €35 in total. The portions... More

I rarely repeat on a restaurant when there are as many to choose from as in Montepulciano. But Osteria del Conte was worth the second (maybe even a third?) visit. The food is phenomenal - the grilled pecorino w/ham appetizer is marvelous, the lamb chops too good to pass up. We have had two of the ravioli options, the tagliatelle... More

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise for us as we knew nothing about it, but it was one of several recommended by our hotel. It has a real comfortable atmosphere and our waitress was excellent (and spoke perfect English). The food and wine were very good, not five star gourmet, but excellent for local fare and reasonably priced. I would... More

We visited on a Monday night for dinner. Our lodging host called ahead to reserve a table for us. The dining room is small but not crowded or cramped. The waitress spoke English and was very friendly and took some time to chat with us. The steaks were huge but delicious. Of course you can't beat the local wine. We... More

This is a lovely, small restaurant at one end of Montepulciano, Italy. The decor is warm and the waitress was so friendly and spoke English. The pici (fat hand rolled pasta) was excellent. In fact our entire dinner, from salad to dessert was delicious! We intend to go back!

Great food nada decent price, everything was home made, good place to relax and take it all in. The stuffed squid was marvelous as well as the tiramisu.

We enjoyed this place for lunch on our 2 nd day in Montepuciano. The service was excellent and she spoke in English as well. The fresh catch of the day on a Friday through Sunday is the best way to go if you like fish. I had the sea bass that was tasty, it really did not need any seasoning however... More

The pasta with porcini mushrooms was a trip favorite for my husband and I liked the chickpea (ceci) soup as well as the ravioli with sage and butter. Everything was terrific.
