Description: Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable...
Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.

Delicious food cooked by nonna

Thoroughly enjoyed this meal. My wife and I shared a number of dishes and a bottle of wine...all were delicious. Family run establishment and more of a local venue, we found this on recommendation from one of the wine shop owners in town. We are passing on the love. Highly recommended for lunch or... read more

I read the compentaries and I wander...this small lovely restaurant run by a family is charming, but not good food. Steak florentine was uneatble and pasta was overcooked and tasteless. I really do not like to make this kind of comentaries but I do not like people get fooled. Restaurant was full of tourists, none one of them was happy... More

This lovely little restaurant was only a few steps away from the Hotel Albergo Duomo where we were staying, so very handy after a long day's exploring. The staff were lovely & the food was amazing (especially the desserts!), & reasonably priced.

We loved this restaurant. So much so that after eating there several times we had to tell ourselves to try something else. The service, the ambiance and the authentic Italian selections kept us fat and happy during our week in Montepulciano.

Very convenient for our hotel Albergo Duomo. Friendly and attentive service and good value food in a cosy dining room . To be honest after a visit to the Nobile festival and the "snack" lunch we had there, we weren't terribly hungry to do justice to a full dinner in the evening - but the antipasti and primi we had... On a chilly Sunday, during the off season, this was just the perfect place for a meal. The food was fantastic-typical Tuscan fare, home cooked and full of flavor. It was indeed comfort food! We recommend it highly and would certainly return again.

Typical tuscan fare...good, not spectacular. Antipasto del conte is nice...prosciutto, cheese, marinated vegetables. The problem is that between each course too much time goes by....we ordered a dessert course and it took forever. It is nice to enjoy your meal slowly but this was excessive...may have been due to a busy Saturday night.

Walking the deserted streets of Montepulciano from our hotel on a cold November night, we wondered if we were mistaken about this restaurant being open. We opened the door and a found it to be almost completely filled with families and a smattering of tourists enjoying their evening meal. What a surprise. The ravioli was probably the best of our... This small but cute restaurant offers very good food and high quality. Price are acceptable! Maybe portion are not too big but fair enough and appropriate.
