Asked for a rare steak ... received overcooked shoe leather. True to our Canadian upbringing, in an attempt to make the best of it and not create a scene, we choked back what we could. We did eventually tell the waiter, who told us that we wouldn't be charged for it. Apparently, the waiter got trumped as the bill featured... More

We sat outside on a sunny day and a guitar player was playing in the piazza which set the scene. Food was very tasty and thet have fresh organic veg which was a big attraction as veg are not widely served in restaurant s.

This restaurant is located right on he Piazza Grande, has indoor and outdoor seating, but the food was not to the high standards of their surrounding competition in Montepulciano.

We came upon this restaurant by accident and then noticed it was in Rick Steve's book. Everything comes straight from the farm. Service was gracious. The house wine was exceptional. We are still salivating over the exceptional meal we enjoyed.

The pasta was so salty, and the waitress merely said that is how we prepare our dishes. I requested to cut back the salt by 1/2 for our next 2 dishes but my rabbit came very salty and dry. I told the waitress I was not happy with the meal but she only said sorry and walked away. Two chances... More

This is a lovely little restaurant right on the piazza. We first had lunch there and loved everything from the chicken to the pasta. My husband doesn't usually order chicken in restaurants, however, we landed up going back there for just that reason, it was so good. All the pasta dishes we had were excellent. We had the same waiter,... More

While winding through the village of Montepulciano, we wanted to simply grab a quick lunch. This restaurant was right off one of the main piazzas so we were fearful it might be a bit of a tourist trap. I ordered one of the daily specials, pollo con salsa picante and it was amazingly good. The service was warm and friendly... More

My wife and I had an afternoon lunch on a late September day. The outdoor tables were all taken, so we ventured indoors. The atmosphere was rustic but there were plenty of tables available. The menu was reflective of the area. My wife had a Tuscan soup that was hearty and delicious followed with a Bruschetta with prosciutto and fresh... More

Since it was late September and late at night, we didn't eat outside, but it was comfortable and friendly inside. The server was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with patience and kindness. He made a wine recommendation based on our tastes and it was spot on. We started with bruschetta, then for my main course I had... More
