Our B&B, Albergo Duomo, recommended this restaurant, which was located just a few minutes’ walk down a cobblestone road on the main piazza. We tried their special pasta dishes of the day, which all featured freshly made pasta noodles and local meats and cheeses. We were delighted with the pici pasta, which is a unique Tuscan thick spaghetti. Breads were... More

My fiancée and I both had the lasagna. It was not fresh at all (semi-heated) and actually the worst we've had in a long time. Literally layers of pasta on top of each other without any tomato sauce or ground meat in between (not to even speak about any cheese or seasoning...). Waste of our time and money.

I orderd a lasagna and it was only dough without any sauce like a traditional lasagna should be. It was the worse lasagne i ever eat in my life. Really poor setting.

Professional waiters, quick service, great quality food, nice table arrangements. We recommend trying pici all'aglione & gnocchetti al pesto and chocolate mousse with mint sauce. It has really been one of our best meals in the region. Highly suggested! Nice view on the main square of Montepulciano.

Located slightly off of the Piazza Grande, facing the Duomo, this is an unpretentious restaurant. Not big, but there are a few tables outside -- ideal for pleasant dining when weather permits. Nothing fancy or exceptional, but good food, well prepared. Local Tuscan cuisine. Excellent service.

When we bought a linen tablecloth from a local material shop in Montepulciano, we asked for a lunch recommendation and were recommended Al Quattro Ventri in the Piazza Grande. Great choice. Friendly welcome and quickly offered a table inside although we did not have reservations. Ostensibly, a pretty basic restaurant but with some Italian style: linen tablecloth and napkins. We... More

My husband and I had our first meal in Montepulciano here and our biggest regret of our time in Italy was not going back. We had the homemade pesto and the gorgonzola gnocchi which were both absolutely delicious.Sitting outside in the lovely weather right at the piazza grande was perfect. Service was great. We would definitely recommend while visiting Montepulciano!

Of all the places in the region serving local fare, this place had the best food. It is not fancy or pretentious, just great at what they do. They have a few home made pastas. Service was great. Nice wines. Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is pretty tame, but outside you would be sitting on the Piazza Grande with the... More
