While at Il Sasso for two weeks in October I rented an apartment on Via Ricci, just up the hill from Piazza San Francesco. The very first thing I discovered about this Piazza is the spectacular view of Tuscany to the west, including an number of memorable sunsets. And then I discovered was this lovely enotecha, where I was able... More

Perfect place for a relaxed glass of wine and a few anti pasti watching the sun set from the terrace or a cosy red wine inside on the couches during colder months. Excellent wine selection, fantastic friendly staff. Great pastas too if you fancy a light dinner as we did. Highly recommended.

I like this place. It's quiet and off the tour bus trail. Do come here for lovely wine by the glass. Have a cheese plate or better- a capresse salad. Do not order pasta.

Lovely restaurant and location, in a beautiful village.. Great food nice wine selection, liked the trio selection of wines to taste. However one friend did not receive her meal even after 45 minutes and three requests on where her food was, staff were unresponsive, abrupt, uncaring stating they had other customers too..after more than 45 mins after finishing our meal,... This bar has the best sunsets ever. The wine selection is thoughtful and large, the staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere of the beautiful stone building is most inviting and relaxing. If you happen to be there for jazz night (approximately every other Friday in the summer and fall) you will be in for an incredible and memorable... More

Tucked in a location in the small Piazza San Francesco; which itself offers some lovely views over the rolling countryside. We opted for lunch here on a quiet day in Montepuliciano after reading a few reviews that made it seem like a good option for us with two small children. There was a small but interesting selection of pasta's including... More

located in a quiet piazza and well worth seeking out. We sat at an outside table on a warm late summers day. The service was slow but attentive. The menu was small but making a decision was difficult, it all sounded delicious. We all enjoyed our selections, my ravioli was superb!

We have visited here a number of times in the past twelve months during our stays in Montepulciano. It is the perfect place to unwind and watch the sun go down with a glass of wine when the weather is good. We have also enjoyed relaxing inside the bar on a comfortable couch when it's raining. The food is simple... More

We both had salads and the food was fine. But my husband's glass of nobile di montepulciano reserva at a cost of 8 euros was full of sediment. Waiter said sediment to be expected in a wine of its age (well, yes, but in the bottle not in the glass!) He reluctantly took the wine away and came back with another... More
