Description: The restaurant Le Logge del Vignola is located in the heart of...
The restaurant Le Logge del Vignola is located in the heart of Montepulciano's old town centre, across from the renowned loggia attributed to "Vignola". There are two elegant, comfortable rooms where, by candlelight, guests can savour dishes from the Tuscan repertoire as well as the restaurant's own distinctive cuisine, accompanied by excellent, local wines. The restaurant is air conditioned. There is a temporary exhibition of art works by Gino Filippeschi. Seasonally available ingredients form the basis of a cuisine that primarily features local products and, taking inspiration from tradition, reimagines them in a way that is adapted to today's tastes. Among the restaurant's offerings: a tasting menu of special cheeses, flambe cuisine and much more... The cellar is stocked with a careful selection of wines from Tuscany and beyond, with the possibility of pairing, even by the glass, suggested by Sommelier Massimo Stella. Owner: Massimo Stella, Executive Chef: Federico La Rocca.

A warm welcome and a charming place

In the heart of medieval/early Renaissance Montepulciano, this charming restaurant with about two dozens of seats offers one of the best meat (tagliatta di manzo) we ever had, although the fried vegetables were disappointing. An excellent wine list and one of the warmest welcome one can have.

I ordered fried vegetables and a ravioli. The appetizer was as good as a fried thing could be - no better than the chinese in the corner. The ravioli, well, it came five halves of ravioli, that were really tasty, but did not meet my expectations toward the amount of food normally expected from a restaurant in the region. Ambiance... The sign in the window saying "fresh truffles and porcini today" was what caught my eye!! We booked for the following night as it's closed on a Tuesday. We turned up at 7 and were only the second table however, by 8pm the place was full. The interior is romantic, cosy and the service was impeccable. Our water was very... More

Many Italian restaurants can cook pasta but not nearly as many can present memorable and beautiful meals. Staying in Montepulciano, my husband and I walked to this fine restaurant for dinner. My starter was spinach soup with pecorino and ricotta islands in it--unforgettable! The lamb that followed was delicious. Our server recommended two different local red wines to complement our... This place is a pure gem. Their tasting menu with the wine selection was the best meal in recent memory by a wide margin (and we came from Florence). The liver patè with coffee bread, spicy pear and wine sauce was pure heaven, simply melting. Se were the veal cheeks at the end. The quail on the risotto was the... More

We certainly were glad to get in at the last minute for the #1 restaurant in town, but after leaving there, Montepulciano better hope this isn't the best there it. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but we didn't leave there thinking this was the best we had in town (we had better meals before and after our... More

We ate at Le Logge on our first night and were so impressed we returned on our last. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The wine we were recommended was outstanding but only mid range in price. The food was of fantastic standard for every course. Would particularly recommend the chocolate cigar with tobacco ice cream, sounds incredible looks and tastes... More

Ate here in August 2014 based upon Tripadvisor and hotel recommendation. Interesting menu that is creative and a little bit out of the ordinary (in a good way). Excellent wine service with some very good by the glass options - just ask. Would have eaten here more then once if we could have.

Great food served here with all traditional Tuscan dishes. The staff were generally friendly but a little aloof but the food arrived quickly as did the drinks. They have a great wine contraption which allows the guest to choose wine by the glass allowing ample opportunity to sample many wines from this great region.

We've been several time at this restaurant in earlier years, But recently with kids we've not been there. As it started rainining in Montepulciano, and we were near, we ran inside and were immediately recognised and welcomed by Massimo. We were seated in the upper part of the resaturant and enjoyed a very good lunch. After a welcome drink and... More
