Elegant and delicious

The food and the wine are impeccable and the service very good! Creps were delicious, the pici al ragù could have had a bit more salt but they were ok. Overall we had a very lovely lunch!

Absolutely positive experience. We liked - the friendly owner and his team - the food that is original and delicious - the long wine-list - the interior design We would absolutely go there again!

The title accurately summarizes our experience. The food was okay, but not better than okay, and the wine list included several wines that "they'd sold their last bottle yesterday. This was tolerable--any restaurant can have a bad night. But everything about the place reeks of pretension--especially the service. This is a decent eatery that pretends to be Michelin three star... On short notice, was able to book a table at this well thought of restaurant. Specialty that evening was fresh porcini mushrooms with beef or risoto - we each had some and all were absolutely excellent! Best beef of our 3 week Italy trip, and by far the best mushrooms. Service was impecable, decanting the wine etc.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the cozy romantic corner. All dishes were excellently prepared with local seasonal ingredients. Had a great grilled octopus appetizer. Porcini risotto was fantastic. Service was very attentive. Reservations a must

Well I hate to sound like a broken record, repeating all the glowing reviews so far, but this restaurant is indeed very special. The food consists of local ingredients taken to a creative height that would past muster in any large city in the world. Served with panache in charming, even luxurious, small rooms. We were three...husband, local friend and... More

We booked a table for four in advance of our visit to Montepulciano and so glad that we did. Wouldn't have wanted to miss it. I started with the octopus which was delicious whilst others enjoyed the tempura vegetables and terrine. My main course was the pigeon, the others had suckling pig, lamb and salt cod. All the dishes were... More

A fantastic restaurant just off the main street in Montepulciano. We shared the tasting menu for lunch and it was quite memorable. From the starting glass of Prosecco to the beef tartare artfully prepared at our table, everything was delicious and the service was excellent, including our waiter who spoke very good English and helped us understand the menu. The... More

Food was divine and service was smooth and discreet. Started with a house specialty entree of chicken liver pate. The pate was so flavoursome without going 'over the top' and kept us going back for more. Porcini mushrooms are in season now so we ordered their daily special mains - porcini risotto and porcini tagliatelle - the risotto was absolutely... More
