The duck. Oh, the duck! It's so incredible we asked our fantastic waiter (who I think is also the owner) how to make it. We've been here five or six times, sometimes at great inconvenience, just for the duck. Turns out it takes two days! It's so incredible our eight-yr-old knows about "the duck place" and asks when we'll go... More

I was here the second time, before I also slept there. Place surrounded by winery, very romantic. Full of trees, flowers, and wonderful view. Quiet place for lunch or dinner. I recommend home-made pici (kind of pasta, similar to spaghetti). Good with mushrooms or pecorino cheese. Nice ribolita - tipical Toscanian soup. Tasting the Nottola red wine is a must!... More

Lovely indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the vineyards, friendly staff who speak English, and.... The food here is amazing. We especially loved their Truffle Ravioli, Rosemary Bistecca Tagliata, and the anatra (duck), especially with a contorno (side dish) of cannellini beans on the side. Pair this with one of the wines from the co-located winery. The Nobile is a great... More

We had one of the best meals in our week in Tuscany. The service was perfect and the food was wholesome and authentic. The server was part owner and he made us feel very welcome. We then decided today to treat ourselves to their cooking classes. There was just the four of us and we had such fun and learnt... More

This restaurant is in a great location at the nottola winery. The views are very good over the valley, but as it is in the valley too, sitting down lessens the view considerably. The food is quite traditional Italian, at a good level (above average). Don't expect a culinary heaven based on its tripadvisior ranking though. We had antipasti (meats,... More

Sometimes you'd better not read about a place before visiting it. We read so much about this place that we expected probably too much. yes, Cristiano and his team are nice and smiling; yes, the view is astonishing (though you see it better before you sit down!). But when you hear your host telling the same sentence, and the same... More

Villa Nottola is set in the Tuscan hills and is a pleasant location; a nice place to visit for lunch or for the winery. There is a large outside dining area close by the restaurant. Service here is attentive and efficient, staff are welcoming and friendly. We were there for a light lunch and ordered the Pici with pecarino and... More

10 of us had a fantastic lunch out in the garden with views over the rolling hills around Montepulciano. The home made pici was excellent and the roast duck perfectly seasoned. Wine suggestions (all from the vineyard) were also very good. After lunch the winemaker was engaging and happy to chat about his wines and the history of winemaking in... More

If you're in the Montepuliano area, this is a restaurant you have to visit. The food and wine are fantastic and the view is amazing. Cristiano treated us wonderfully every time we went.
