We stopped by chance for Sunday lunch at this restaurant and the friendly owner recommended the duck, or "your money back". We had the duck, the roast pig and truffle pici pasta - all were outstanding, the best meal we had all week in Italy. The estate wines were also very good, especially the red. We took the half bottle... More

We probably passed this place four times. Our GPS was not having it!! It isn't well marked and if your GPS or phone maps app is anything like ours, you will be THISCLOSE to giving up. Anyway, once we found it-- we were so happy we did. Christiano is lovely. We asked him to take our photo and he proceeded... More

Stumbled upon while bouncing around wineries. The place was packed by locals for Sunday lunch. Had truffle ravioli which had nearly a whole truffle on top. Also, had the duck that as well was very good. The also offered us free digestivio which was house made.

Absolutely deeeeeeelizioso!! Pici Tuscan sauce, so tempted to pick up the plate and lick it clean! Pici had great texture and the sauce was slow cooked with molto amore! Maialimo al forno, hit me one more time! The meat was so tender flavored with a ton of winter herbs Food was A star! Christiano is on a different level! All... More

It seems useless to me to spend to many words describing this outstanding place but I must. The food is more than delicious: starting from the pasta with truffles, to their special duck, every dish is not just good, but also revisited by Cristian (the owner) and the chef. Talking about Cristian, he is incredibly nice, always with good and... More

Great place, great food and great wine at a very reasonable price. Cristiano, the manager, suggested the least expensive wine on the list: the excellent Nottolino at €12. We had the Ravioli ai Tartufo (with loads of truffle for €12), the Maltagliati ai Funghi Porcini and the Risotto ai Funghi Porcini. Everything was amazing. Cristiano is such a nice host... More

This restaurant was amazing, because even though the traditional Tuscan diet is not vegetarian-friendly the chefs provided great alternatives such as rosemary with lentils, grilled vegetables (egg plant, zucchini), pici pasta, and caprese. The business is also a great supporter of local artist, which adds character to the elegant restaurant. It certainly worth visiting, whether drinking a glass of wine,... More

High standart of typical regional Tuscan cuisine, lovely please, nice staff serving with sympathy expecially Cris (Cristian that I believe is the owner of the restaurant). Whereas in the area there are lot of overpriced and well evaluated Hostarias from Tripadvisor, which are not customized, serving convenience, taylored to the mass and tourist meal oriented, Villa Nottola offer instead only... We went to the villa on a friday night but the place seemed deserted with just two other tables occupied which did not make for a great atmosphere. It was windy, so the promised view was blocked by a huge windscreen. The waitress insisted on speaking English with us even if her command of the language seemed shaky at best... More
