Having read lots of good reviews and coming across this restaurant with its idyllic location we had high expectations. The food and wine was reasonably priced although the quality didn't live up to some of the previous reviews in our opinion. Having said that the location and ambience is top notch so worth a visit, it was just disappointing that... More

We went here during our stay in Montecatini and loved it. Service is slow and a bit scattered but this didn't spoil our evening. Food was really interesting ,wine is very reasonable. A great night out!,

We went here as a group of 4 having tried a few of the other restaurants in the area, and this is definitely the best we found. We had most things on the menu, and all were great. The porcetta, beef stew and pasta were all particularly good. They have their own house wine, which at€12 a bottle is seriously excellent... More

The restaurant is in the corner of a lively square close to the funicular station in Montecatini Alto. Our beef carpaccio was beautifully presented and very tender; rest of the meal was good too. We drank local rose wine and had excellent service.

While visiting Montecatini Alto we stopped by Casa Gala for late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant is also a shop and bed and breakfast. The chef/owner explained the menu and we followed his suggestions including the wine. As an appetizer we had some Tuscan prosciutto and crostini with warm liver pate. As main dish we ordered tuscan pepper beef stew and... More

Where do I start? Read some good reviews on here and decided to call up and book for a wednesday evening. The restaurant is set on the corner of an open square at the top of the mountains together with a number of other restaurants. I am glad we picked Casa Gala. This restaurant is what Italian dining is all... More

We went to visit Montecatini Alto and found this restaurant on the main square. The place looks nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We spoke with the owner and he explained that they serve traditional tuscanian dishes in new innovative ways. The food was fantastic and very well prepared. The composition and presentation was beautiful. Definitely a... More

Staying in Montecatini Terme we deeded to visit the heights of Montecatini Alto by travelling up the hillside on the ancient vehicular . Having walked around the walls and the square we were drawn to the serene looking Casa Gala. We were made very welcome and decided to let the owner make our food choices ! Excellent, I have never... This area of Montecatini is like going back in time to Tuscany as you've imagined it. Old cobblestone streets, winding alleyways, steep steps. This charming, shabby chic restaurant is a wonderful, comfortable place to spend an hour or two. As Americans we don't understand the Italian way of life. Long leisurely meals where we are not in a hurry to eat... More
