We ate here recently and were disappointed. We ate out every night during our seven night stay in Montecatini and we felt this restaurant was poor value for money. The cover charge is 6€ each and the cheapest wine was 20€. It would be difficult to have a decent meal for less than 150€. The food was good but we... More

Although not the cheapest restaurant in the town it is so good that we are going back again for our last meal of the holiday. For welcome, atmosphere, service and wonderful quality of food it was the best we experienced on our visit to Tuscany.

Last autumn I stayed in Montecatini over one month to study Italian wine sommelier. At that time I could not get the chance, but I went this restrante on 4th July 2014 with a young girl. Everything is perfect, but not high cost. Especially wine are so nice. Because the owner,Mr.Giovanni, is one of famous sommelier in Italy. If you... More

Our son & family were visiting us at our rented villa near Montecatini and found this restaurant one day and had lunch there. They were so pleased with their experience that we all (6 of us) went back for dinner a couple of days later. They were right - it was great! The menu offered excellent choices, plus the waiter... Enoteca Giovanni is just a must visit place. It is open both for lunch and for dinner, closed on Monday. The time flows but very few things change in Enoteca. Same welcoming and attentive waiters and of course Giovanni himself is always there. It is a must visit place because: 1. very delicious food is served there; 2. visitor can... More

The wine list is a big attraction at this restaurant, but the menu is not to be forgotton. We had a great Zafran and Zucchini risotto, followed by beef filet and tiramisu. The pricing is expensive, considering it is not a michelin star restaurant, but in our opinion it was worth it as the cuisine was very close the michelin... More

Agree with Ron_the_Traveler completely. I was hooked after the first bite! This is the way food should be - with each bite savored. We decided to avoid the dinner crowds and try the place for lunch. Good timing as there is a wait for evening seating if you haven't made a reservation. The service was exceptional. Extensive and pricy wine... More

Yes this restaurant is expensive, especially the wine but worth it. We ate in the outdoor area and found the choice and quality of food excellent and the staff professional but friendly and helpful. After some disappointing food during our holiday this dinner was very good.

Be careful as although the food was nice (without being as good as we expected) we were disappointed to find that the wine prices were much more expensive than the "Wine Price List" tab under the "Restaurant" tab on their website. Some were 25% or more higher than the website said. When I enquired about this (and told them we... More

This was a dining experience that could not have been better. The food, the ambiance, the helpfulness and humour of the waiter were all absolutely fantastic. Yes, it was expensive, but a memory that will not fade.
