Loved it. We squeezed in at lunchtime-I think it was around Christmas Eve or just before. The place was absolutely packed with locals and we could barely hear each other over all the chatter, but that is often a sign of a good restaurant, isn't it? Our server was very busy, but he was kind, professional and efficient. The lunch... More

We found this restaurant a little pricey for the quantity of food. Menu was limited. we did also notice some other patrons receiving items not listed on menu - (?)

We spent a really nice evening, with really nice wine and local food at Osteria Cuccagna in the centre of Mestre. The restaurant is part of the slow food chain, and offers 0-km food ingredients (bought from the local market and local farmers). Everything we tasted was cooked and presented to perfection. It's not a cheap or fast food place,... More

My husband and I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and thought we'd give it a try and I'm so glad we did! The staff were attentive and very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. I had the traditional Venietian Biorgi with sea food and my husband had gnocchi. The desserts are home made my husband had apple strudel and... More

This is a very nice restaurant but we were rather overwhelmed by the waiter who waxed lyrical about the grilled fish. When it came, there was really just a lot of fish and a couple of pieces of (very dry) polenta. Left alone, I would have chosen pasta so was disappointed. My husband had (also recommended) steak and chips and... More

Enjoyed a great meal this evening. The fresh local seafood was divine. We shared the stuffed calamari for entree, both had the shrimp and pumpkin risotto for main. We thought it sounded liked an interesting combination and it did not disappoint. We finished off with a creme brûlée and panna cotta for dessert. Including two glasses of wine for 50... More

We enjoyed a lovely evening here starting off with a typical Venetian antipasto which was easily as good as any I have eaten. I then had homemade tagliatelle with mushrooms which was also delicious. My friends tried the sea bass and also the homemade gnocchi was sampled. Everyone was delighted with what they ate. We finished with homemade desserts which... More
