We were staying in an apartment in Loveno (the area up the hill from Menaggio) and discovered this place. The food was the best we found in 9 days around Lake Como - we went 3 times for dinner plus a couple of times for cappuccinos. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. There were no other tourists there which... More

Another good restaurant if you are on the hill over Menaggio. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening in their garden area. The food was very good and the price was reasonable.

We are staying nearby and didn't fancy the walk into Menaggio and back for dinner so decided to try Magnolia. What can I say, it was amazing! We sat outside and there was only one other tourist couple everyone else was local families. The waiters English was brilliant which is good as our Italian is poor. I had the grilled... More

Ate here many times during our 2 week holiday recently. The barman(owner) welcomed us with our drinks & nibbles prior to use choosing our meals. The 'house' Prosecco @ €2.50 a glass was really crisp & dry & a perfect aperitif to the fab selection of food we ate. I can recommend the risotto, calzone pizzas , lasagnes as well... More

This place is out of town a bit . Take a €10 taxi ride up the hill for another look at the beautiful view and good restaurant. The chap who owns took over in Feb and making good fist of it . We had the antipasta of meats which was tasty and the lamb chops and lasagne . Good home... More

We ended going here 3 times during our trip as the service, food and wine were all excellent. Would definitely go again if we were in the region.

Past reviews said it was an easy walk, but after viewing on iPad the route, we decided to find a cab-wise choice. We arrived after 8 pm to a find a huge seated table outside and most of the inside full as well. We were shown a table in the room furthest from any view. It took a long time... More

After a pleasant walk up hill from the town my wife and daughter (10) and I were rewarded by a very good meal. The staff were both friendly and helpful in guiding our choices and explaining the menu. My grilled prawns tasted great - although there could have been a few more. My wife enjoyed the caprese salad and pesto... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 20-30 minute walk up the hill behind Menaggio, then dinner on the patio. Good food and wine. If we could rate this on customer service alone we'd give this restaurant 5 stars. The server and his young wife ran the restaurant when we were there and they were friendly and gracious. Don't miss the fantastic homemade... More

Smashing little place with excellent local cuisine and personal service from the hosts. We both ate in the evening and used it for morning coffees en route out for the day. Clean and well run it strikes you quickly that a little off the beaten track this place gets its business from the locals - you can safely trust their... More
