We travelled to this amazing spot by scooter! Great experience if at times hairy. We called early to check we could find it.. Owner invited us onto the terrace for free wine and water and a rest! Great views and lovely peace! Returned at 7 to dine . Fabulous service and food to match . Local red wine was good... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant on our second night, and we wished they had since the first because the service and cuisine were the absolute best. As a waitress, I pay particularly close attention to service, so our dining experience began with the owner's son picking us up in his private car from our hotel, and then proceeded to wait... More

The owner of this family run business makes you feel so welcome, and the food is outstanding, everything is freshly prepared, much of the ingredients from his garden. It was my 50th birthday and he kindly surprised me with a delicious cake. Only wish we had visited at the start of the holiday and could re visit before going home.Well worth... More

During our 2-week stay in Italy, this was without a doubt the best dining experience we had. Not only was the food some of the best I have ever had in my lifetime, but the experience was incredible. Never in my life have I ever felt so welcome in a restaurant. Giacomo arranged a wonderful dining experience for everyone in... More

Il Fanal. Translated means "the field" and this is where most of your food will come from "their garden". I don't think we have ever been made more welcome in a restaurant. It was as if we've made friends for life! The food was really very special and everything tasted so fresh. The owner has worked 35 years in Italy's... More

Another great holiday in S'Agata, near Sorrento, but this time had the added pleasure of an unforgettable dining experience at family-run Il Fienile in Torca. We feel a great affinity with this wonderful restaurant, having watched it being built over the years, so were excited to have the chance to enjoy what it had to offer. It didn't disappoint. We... My fiance and I wanted to get out of the touristy cities on the Amalfi coast and find a place that served really good local food -- and Il Fienile was just right for us! We were the only tourists in the restaurant. It was a Sunday and there were two families having celebrations for their daughters' First Communions -... More

We dined at Il Fienile twice while we were staying in Sant Agatha and it was without doubt the highlight of our stay in Italy. This lovely family are so hospitable and friendly and the food is delicious, made with fresh ingredients straight out of their vegetable garden. I would travel back to Italy just to visit them again. Visited this restaurant last month, we were staying in Marina del Cantone and the owner came and collected us. It was a Monday night when we visited the restaurant wasn't that busy but it didn't lack atmosphere, the food was delicious a lot of it grown by the owner himself. The restaurant has amazing views and is a really special... More

After a somewhat mediocre experience with the other restaurant in Torca (Bar Vittorio) we tried Il Fienile which lay conveniently in walking distance to our villa. This is a true gem of a restaurant on the sorrentine peninsula. The place is family owned and operated. The Padrone Luigi has an eye on things and is always good for a story... More
