By far the best meal I had in Sicily. Centrally located, beautiful room tastefully decorated and very comfortable tables. But it is the food which is spectacular: the appetizers were magnificent, the spaghetti with sarde, artichokes, wild fennel and almond was the best I ever had and so was the simply grilled fish, thin sliced calamari and a red snapper.... Dinner at San Lorenzo Osteria (SLO) was an excellent recommendation by Hotel Carmine! Don’t miss the appetizer buffet (unlike any “buffet” you’ve ever experienced). The assortment of appetizers was spectacular– and each delicious. We sat in the lovely enclosed area outside the main restaurant. We took a tip from Gaspare (our host at Hotel Carmine) and ordered the busiata con... More

My friends and I arrived without a reservation after a (VERY LONG) travel day/hotel drama eve and SLO gave us the perfect slate-cleaning! We waited outside for about 15 minutes until they could seat us, and they brought us glasses of white wine as we waited, so nice! The ambiance is modern but charming, and the wait staff attentive and... More

The service is excellent. The restaurant's wine list is on an iPad which makes it very easy to search for just the right wine. Their wine list is ample and well priced....however, it is the food that is worth the trip. Everything we tried was perfectly prepared and wonderfully presented. Make reservations because it gets deservedly busy, especially on a... More

We ate in a number of restaurants in Marsala over 8 days. This stood out head and shoulders above the rest. There is a buffet starter but we went a la carte. The mixed sea food starters were superb. My personal choice would be the 'SLo'. For mains, you are invited to choose which fish you wish to be cooked... More

This restaurant is far from cheap for the area but it is well worth the price. I had the chef's recommendation, which was excellent. The service was great and all of the servers were very happy to spend time giving us suggestions and explanations. The food (local and fresh) was something to remember. Highly recommended!

Haven eaten in a number of restaurants in Marsala, this place would stand apart. Reservations essential in high season. Excellent buffet. Well presented dishes and good service. Above average prices (+20%).

Good quality mains and well presented however lacking taste. Buffet was a good idea but was poorly stocked and only had cheap products.

Had a great Sicilian meal here. Bountiful buffet of creative appetizers to start, a steal at 8 euro. The calamarata with shrimps and pistachio was excellent and so were the spaghetti with red mullet. We received excellent advice on local white wines by the glass, and a glass of wine was actually a glass of wine: a beautiful stemware filled... More
