A late evening surprise

We were walking the quiet streets of Marsala after a large dinner and feeling disappointed that we were leaving early the next morning and had not had a chance to taste some of the city's eponymous fortified wine when we came upon a sign that said Marsala bar. We were on holiday here and dropped in on the advice of trip advisor. Superb welcoming owners. Sat outside in the sun sipping the various types of marsala while being educated as to all the processes and uses of the wine. Little plates of wonderful bruschetta and tapasy foods completed the idyll. Thankyou for helping to make our stay in... More

They have a variety of marsalas, so you can learn more about the wine. On a nice day, there's seating outside on the street, which makes for fun people watching.

I really liked the cosy atmosphere of this little wine bar with wall to wall bottles of local wines including the local Marsalas of course. Very welcoming and you get the chance to taste some little crostini topped with exquisite combinations of purees of tuna, swordfish, pistachio, almond, chilli, tomato and artichoke. Brilliant way to start an evening - or... More

This is exactly what you look for when you want to try and discover new wines. The owners are very knowledgable and the atmosphere was relaxed and unpretentious. We would definitely return!

Having gone to Sicily for a romantic break with my fiance (who proposed to me whilst there), we stumbled across this wine bar by pure chance after taking a stroll around Marsala on a beautifully sunny Saturday afternoon. The tall oak barrel tables appealed to my fiance which added an extra touch of the warm lovely appeal it gives off.... More

We went there to have an apetizer before going to dîner. It was a very plaisant surprise, The two barmaids served us the ideal Marsala and finally we bought a good bottle of Marsala. If you happen to be there, in this little charming town, go there and you will experience a nice Marsala and Sicilian experience.

This friendly little wine bar on Via Garibaldi, run by Salvatore, offers wine tasting with delicious snacks freshly prepared using a variety of local Sicilian delicacies. One of our most enjoyable lunches in Sicily. They also sell jars of their delicacies and wine, so we left loaded with goods.

We wanted to have a drink before dinner and this place seemed charming (and it was). The young waitress asked us whitch wine we would like and served us the one she thought was best. They don't work with a whinemenu. They also serve appetisers (bread with different kinde of tapas). You can also buy the whine and take it... More
