A smorgasbord of antipasti

I revisited this little inconspicuous restaurant after a trip to Marsala in 2005 and was pleased to find it just as good with an enticing buffet of cold starters from lightly fried slices of fresh zucchini and aubergine to salads of octopus and other delicious nibbles. And of course the fish is as... read more

We stopped here for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is attractive and the service was very good. There was an extensive buffet offered which featured a lot of different vegetables and seafood options. While we did not do this, it looked good and almost everyone else in the restaurant did take a plate from the buffet.... More

Wasn't expecting the menu to fly in just a minute after we sat down, I was expecting more Italian service, but here it was very fast. Food was great. If you think that Zuppa ___ mussels is mussels in a soup it means the mussels have been cooked in soup. Other than that, can say much more. Excellent.

We thought the service was friendly and the atmosphere was homely and relaxing. The antipasto table 9€ was an excellent way to sample a variety of Sicilian delicacies. The couscous with fish soup was generous and tasty. The tuna was fresh and perfectly cooked. We had no room for dessert. A reasonable price for some great food.

Great for people watching, in the heart of the old town! Very popular restaurant with the locals, so go earlier than they do, right on 8pm would be my advice.

Very typical restaurant with the normal menu. The staff are characters with various locals coming and going in to different nooks. We only visited once food pretty average. Big antepasta buffet for 9 euros seems to be their USP.

We arrived at this restaurant very late - at 3 pm - but we were served with efficiency and courtesy. The pasta and the seafood were top class and the wine excellent. This is Italy as one would like it to be. The place appears to be popular - deservedly.

Just inside the Porta Garibaldi, this was recommended by a couple of people. A lot of locals were here so thats always a good sign! The antipasti buffet was good however it was late and the selection wasnt as much as I suspect is was earlier in the evening... So for the 9 euro per plate, it was a little... More

Set just inside the walls of the old town this pleasant trattoria serves good traditional local cuisine. At lunch on a Sunday, most of the clientele was local with large extended family groups. In September the option to eat outside was not available although the piazza is clearly pleasant. The mixed antipasti buffet offers a wide selection and is very... More
