This is a small, charming restaurant which delivers some really excellent dishes. Service was also excellent; our lovely waitress (who has studied to be a translator and speaks fine English), was always available, but never hovering. We started to order from the menu when the waitress explained that there were several seafood items that they didn't have that evening...that they... More

This restaurant was recommended by two of the guests at our hotel as the place to eat in Maratea. The atmosphere and ambience was non-existant. The food was poor to ordinary and one plate had to be sent back as it was not cooked through. The speciality of the day was ordinary, small portions and very overpriced. Told the owner... More

We enjoyed our meal here and would definitely recommend it. The calamari was great: huge pieces of octopus in a tasty tomato sauce. Also a nice house wine.

Starter went overkill on the lemon. I like lemon, but omg, couldn't eat it. This place is a lemon. Asked for large portion of pasta, I offered to pay extra. But only available in standard sizes. The waitress got distracted on middle of conversation and left to attend to something. So rude. Forgot to bring wine. Sea bass main was... More

We come to Italy every year for several weeks and have eaten hundreds of excellent meals all over the country. This was a shocking disappointment. The place looked good - off the main street and cosy. The starter was awful - some mozzarella on toasted bread with an anchovy. The bread was largely inedible - certainly nothing like the crostini... The worst meal we had in Maratea and its environs. Tasteless, slimy mush describes all three courses although we refused to pay for the third (grilled seafood). The waitress has good English but is deluded since she seems to think the cooking is good. The waiter, a young officious boy in a cummerbund, was polite other than his regular moist... More

nice location evene if it has no garden or table outside but we were disappointed by the food, the entrance, antipasti were not bad but nothing special and very small portions and the pasta was not well prepared. Surely there are better places to go for dinner!

On a cool evening the restaurant was uncomfortable. The young woman who served was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. The antipasti of pulpo was the best we had tasted in Basilicata, but the tuna on the bed of delicious red onion was boring. Avoid the crusted veal which was dry and had too much herb crust attached. A family... More
