Spacey restaurant with large courtyard onto lakefront. Excellence fish here and in a good location beneath the castle. Bit pricey though. Good service.

Al Corsaro was advised to us by the hotel owner at Malcesine as a place that is very good but a bit expensive. He was right, except about the price. We chose the chef’s menu consisting of two courses (pasta, fish from the lake) and a dessert (two choices). The meal, including an appetizer (good spritz!) and a bottle of... More

Firstly the food here is fabulous! The starters, pasta, beef fillet and dessert we had were all delicious! We ate here twice during our holiday as we enjoyed it so much! The staff here are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is at the end of a promenade section of the lake next to the base of the castle so it's... More

While in Malcesine for our Sons wedding we had a pre wedding meal with 24 family members. It was the perfect location on a beautiful sunny evening right on the lake.We had a vast selection of starters which every one shared my favourite being shrimps with strawberries ,main course for me was a mixed grill of fish 5 different portions including... Perfect location, with the waters of Lake Garda lapping beneath you! Fabulous risotto & gnocchi and a pretty good pizza too! Very reasonable prices and good service. It's close to a beautiful house which is popular for weddings so a lazy afternoon with great food and wine watching a local wedding was perfect!

Originally booked for the terrace thinking we'd dine in warm, sunny conditions, alas it rained! The service was very good. The carpaccio of smoked fish as a starter was a delicious highlight, the scallops were nice but lacked any wow factor, some lime or spices might have helped. The ravioli stuffed with fish was less inviting and rather heavy. The... More

We had a lovely dinner here whilst in Malcesine. The steak (beef) and tuna steak were lovely, as were the deserts (chocolate mousse amazing!). Lovely setting just beneath the castle and staff very attentive. We had a lovely evening.

It was a rainy day in Malcesine -- HEAVEN ON EARTH, by the way. We had to find a place to eat. Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. It was good, with decent service. But not outstanding. Portion sizes were average, taste was a little "unique" (some spices were unexpected). But the service was accommodating and pleasant. Atmosphere is good/nice outside... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal here during our recent stay in Malcesine. However I felt it didn't quite come up to recent Tripadvisor comments. The food was lovely but not amazing. The wine was delicious, service was unobtrusive and polite. In my view, the location makes this restaurant well worth a visit.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Al Corsaro earlier this month and what can I say other than wow! We knew just how incredible this place was but we were delighted that so many of our guests told us afterwards that it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had. Mario and his team do a fantastic...
