Description: Located right in the middle of a one-hectare green area, the restaurant is just out of Malcesine, far from the town bustle, in total harmony with the surrounding nature. In our restaurant you can sit down at wide wooden rustic-styled tables to taste wood-fired spit-roasted meat in the shade of the olive trees, which frame this heavenly corner. We are open from March to October, every day from noon to midnight. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. With outdoor tables, and two heated halls, we allow our customers to find the place that suits them most. In summertime, the breeze blowing from Mount Baldo cool down the hottest days. And if you look out from the outdoor tables, you can see Lake Garda on the horizon. In our restaurant, you can have a fast meal, you can spend the whole afternoon with your family, or enjoy a tete-a-tete dinner with your lover… Your choice.

This restaurant was brilliant! I'm led to believe this is a chain of restaurants and I'm hoping that someone's going to bring it over to the UK. It's run in a style more similar to a canteen where you go and get your drinks and food yourself but this was fine with us. There's plenty of seating and a playground... More

We went for my 40th birthday meal 10 days ago, 5 of us took the local tourist bus up for 1 euro each and spent a lovely couple of hours sat out in the gorgeous sunshine in the beautiful gardens. The place has a German theme and the smell of the grilled meats tempts you as you walk into the... More

Based on a German beer garden this self service restaurant serves simple meals cooked to perfection. The ribs are meaty and juicy and the chicken just falls off the bone. It's a great concept and great for families, groups and couples. You can even get take away! Great value too!

Visited this place for something different whilst staying in Malcesine. Self service and choose where you sit. Very rustic feel to the place, loads of groups and families there enjoying good food and relaxed atmosphere. We had roast chicken with chips. They also do pork, ribs and sausage. Definitely recommended.

Under no circumstances should you take a vegetarian, size 0 girlfriend to this beer garden/restaurant. (Unless you want to end the relationship......) Oh no. You need to take a wolf or preferably a small T. Rex with you, to chomp happily on the juicy pork knuckles, half chickens and sheets of ribs that the pleasant staff are busy grilling outside.... We loved Speck Stube! You can see how this would be a great place for young 20-something locals to come hang out, grab a beer and listen to music. We were brought here by some extended family who live in the area who we stayed with while we were visiting Italy in September. They told us how packed it gets... More

After spending the past week in Italy we were ready to try something different and we found this place on TA and thought it sounded interesting. Upon walking in, just get in line for your food then find a table in the garden that overlooks the lake. We were initially worried about finding a seat due to the amount of... More

We always eat there on the first and last day of our holiday. Always busy and a meat eaters paradise. It is a outdoor BBQ to the extreme with excellent pork and chicken with big beers. Easy convenient and great to get into holiday mood. Expensive for large group but take away is half price! It is a different eating... More

Good food, good presentation, is the place where you can go with your friends to have a nice evening, drink something and having a good time. Also, there are a lot of place for the children, so the parents are happy too.
