Worth stopping for!

If you've read my review of Villa Poseidon in Salerno, this is the restaurant we came back to! We saw it on the way from Amalfi but it wasn't noshing time so we didn't stop. Luckily we found it again. Very good food, very friendly staff, normal prices and a beautiful view. If we come this way... read more

This is absolutely not what you're expecting from Italy and especially the south of Italy. Too much posh and too much annoying service and at the same time nothing special in terms of food.

The restaurant is run by two brothers. there is a great room used mainly for receptions and then a smaller restaurant area. We did not eat from the menu but dishes prepared by the Chef. Magnificent! Paired with a local wine that was well suggested by the staff. Service was excellent.

While traveling along the Amalfi Coast, we came across a restaurant that actually had a place to park. Not knowing anything about it, we stopped to give it a try. Turned out to be a VERY NICE place with great fresh seafood on the menu. All the seafood was grilled perfectly and the taste told me it had to be... More

I have never previously refused to pay for a meal at a restaurant but this is the closest I have come to it. It was not the worst food that I have ever had at a restaurant but it is, without question, the worst restaurant experience I have had during the 7 years we have been living in Italy. Evidently... Stopped en route to the Santa Caterina in Amalfi for lunch - fantastic food, service & location. Pasta to die for. Will definitely return! The only downside is it's a bit of an isolated location.

Exhausted, driving the tight twisting roads of the Almafi, unable to find refuge along the side of the road, we, luckily, stopped here. The afternoon before, we ate wonderfully, surviving only the anti pasti and primi, all for about $25 US. Capo d'orso was not our usual place for lunch. With a phenomenal view, after a knuckle wrenching drive evading... More

We stopped for lunch here by chance. The restaurant sits on cliffs above the Amalfi Coast and has amazing views. The food is exceptional, as is the service. Not cheap but well worth it for special occasions.

Capo D'Orso Restaurant is in an unique location (and I mean it, unique) and food is really exquisite. We had a really pleasant dinner, with incredible spaghetti with octopus and celery (the choice of the pasta, "di Gragnano" was crucial) and a wonderhul fish with potatoes. Also desserts were excellent. The wine list is full of not dramatically expensive very... More

My experience with this restaurant goes back almost thirty-years ago. My wife (Maryanne Flemma) and our family met a young man (Luigi Ferrara ) who along with his beautiful mother took my ill son into their care on one Sunday morning. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to this wonderful family who went out of their way, to feed... More
