A great dining experience

It was early in our tour so we made the mistake of booking too early. We were into our mains before the next diners arrived. The antipasto comprised fresh local products and the mains and desserts were also good, though the cointreau mousse was a little light on cointreau. The local wine choice... read more

So glad we found it, memories to savour from our first visit in 2011. We recommended to friends who visited in Sept 2015 and they loved it too. Lovely fresh food, great variety of fish to choose from, wide range of pasta, complimented with gorgeous Sicilian wine. Outside eating in a lovely setting. Happy Memories from lovely Lipari. My favourite... More

We arrived with a big group on a perfect sunny day in early October. The outdoor tables were set and waiting for us, and the wine arrived as soon as we sat down. Soon after, the owner/local icon Filippino stopped by our tables to introduce himself. Then the wait staff proceeded to bombard us with antipasti from the sea. Then... More

We ate here one night after reading the reviews on TA. Just a note if you are elderly or have trouble walking it is a steep walk up to this restaurant. Once there you are greeted with a cavernous place. All enclosed in windows to take in the view...but on our visit the view was obscured by the construction project... More

My husband and I had a lovely evening at Ristorante Filippino. The setting is lovely, though a construction project in the piazza impaired our view--clearly not the restaurant's fault. The restaurant has been run by 3 generations of the same family for 105 years! They must be doing some thing right. More sophisticated than the average Lipari restaurant but a... More

Food (tuna/pasta) was just amazing, wish they have a place in NY. Service was efficient. Chef was outstanding very experienced. Location had a sea view and near the castello, convenient from tourist attractions.

Large choice of fresh fish and sea fruits. Very good antipasti. We had a good dinner with our 4 kids.

I've eaten all over Italy from Florence to Venice, Rimini to Rome, Sardinia and Sicily. This was my worst experience. We felt unwelcome, the pasta was overpriced and average and the service was just terrible! The waiter was really rude to the point he was almost aggressive. I ordered a side of salad verde and it was LITERALLY a small... More

We had a great experience here. Feels like an old family run place with tradition, and the waiters and staff take their business seriously. We were recommended to try the squid risotto and the zucchini mussel pasta, both of which were excellent, so was the wine recommendation. They didn't bring olive oil with the bread, but when we asked for... More
