Great food, but expencive

For a "street food" too expencive, although very good. We paid more than 40 eur for two dishes and icecram. For same kind of food we paid in Ustica only 20 EUR.

Papisca makes their own gelato which is the best in Lipari. They have freshly baked pastries, great granite and briosches. They stay open late with a variety of cocktails, beer and local wine to choose from and lots of stuzzichini. A nice relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and a great view of the beach.

We came to the island of Lipari to stay with a friend in Canneto. I have to say our Italian was minimal however the staff at Papisca were very accommodating. Their Gelato is amazing and they make a great Cappuccino. We became regulars in the two weeks we stayed here. My only thing that may be counted as negative is... More

Not many places were open over Easter so we stumbled into this one which served small little dishes to select from the counter. The rabbit was really nice. Full and half portions available. Not particularly cheap but ok.

This is my only bad eating experience in all of Sicily and Italy, in many years of regular travel there. The food is marginal, but the employees here are surly and mean. There are no prices posted, so they charge locals a small amount and tourists an excessive amount. Our meal was the most expensive I have had anywhere in... More

Local cafe that's open late -- seems to be the town watering hole. Desserts & bar, what else could you ask for.

Fantastic place! Beautiful food for lunches, all homemade! All sicilian specialities are presented on the day, excellent gelatos - the best on the island, big cappuccinos, quick and kind staff (rarity for Sicily)!

The Lipari Islands are having great problems. The tourists don´t come there as they used to. This is visible everywhere. Makes it hard to keep up the standard, of course. To compensate this quit a few bar and restaurant owners meet those of us who come there with higher prices. Not a very good tendency, one must say. But this... More

We could try some typical sicilian pasta and fish specialities at Papisca. It tasted so great! Great ice creams also! The boss and personal were all very friendly! I recommend this bar directly at the seaside.

Unfriendly staff, they treat you really bad. stay away from that place. I ate a gelato, was ok, but they gave me the wrong flavour on purpose, as I asked for nutella and they gave me vanilla cream. what kind of place is this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
