Dinner by the sea

Excellent location, staff very friendly. We tried the set menu and thoroughly enjoyed every course. Portion sizes were just right. Definitely worth a visit.

Context: Monday evening, mid-October, had good lunch at Aquacalda. So not looking for great deal but found Al Pirata to have a truly superb setting tucked away in the corner of Marina Corta. If the rest of the menu is as good as the two pasta dishes we had, it's well worth trying - we shall again in a day... More

Beside the lovely view the food was inedible and too expensive. The waiter coughed on the food, and the waitress looked depressed at having to recommend such disgusting overpriced and hygienically suspect food

The food and service was outstanding and the location is beautiful. Enjoyed a meal there with my partner and loved every minute. I highly recommend this place.

We unfortunately had our last meal at this establishment of a week full of amazing food - I wish we had returned to Da Filippino. Store bought bread straight out of a bag, surly service, and overpriced, tasteless pasta. I had a seafood pasta, and my dining partner had squid ink pasta that were mere shades of what we had... Our cruise ship was docked in Lipari for the day. After walking around this quaint place, we headed back to the port to find a place for a leisurely lunch. The spot is adjacent to a lovely church and has the best views of the harbor because it is slightly elevated. Service was very prompt and courteous. The seafood salad... More

The wait staff was very friendly and nice they spoke very good English and the views were amazing. We were very glad we continued down the shore and found this spot right on the water. We had the mussels and tomatoes in spaghetti which was very good. We also had the spaghetti with Sicilian pesto which was fatastic!

The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and polite and the setting is breath taking. If you come to the islands you must eat here as you would be missing out on an amazing experience if you didn't. The people's previous negative reviews are clearly people who are poorly travelled.

Service was below average, and one waiter was being particularilly rude. The rest were ok, doing just enough to claim to be working. The restaurant has good location and specialises in seafood. It was the worst meal Steak has had in years, reheated clams and shrimps in the Pasta Pescatore, mushy pasta and tasteless sauce. Cookie had a pasta a... More

This restaurant is right on the side of the old/smaller port. As the sun sets the lights of the port and moon reflect in the bay by the side of your table. Good quality food and very good value.
