Friendly service and good food

I enjoyed my meal here in what is a really touristy place. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. I chose the fresh pasta dishes that are made in house and was impressed with both (the norma pasta and the Bolognese). My favorite part of the meal though was the caponata appetizer. I would... read more

Our family of five ate at II Galeone three times during our five day stay in Lipari and we were treated like good friends each time. The service was very good and we were always very satisfied with the food. The location is central and we sat under a canopy, which allowed for relaxing dinners. The atmosphere was inviting and... We had dinner twice in Il Galeone during our week in Lipari. The atmosphere is genuine and simple. Food is very good (had spaghetti allo scoglio and pizza). Special mention to the owner, who is super friendly and helpful and he offers a Malvasia dessert wine at the end of every dinner. Try the pistachios pizza cause it's just amazing!

friendly, helpful staff and the food is just up there with the very best in flavour, imagination and execution. Having been born and raised in italy I can attest to the genuine ingredients and preparation. Keep it up :)

Went here on our first night in Lipari, in hindsight wish we had gone elsewhere. We did receive a friendly welcome but after our research on Trip Advisor we were expecting better quality food, it was pretty average. The staff were rushing to take my plate away as soon as it was empty and well before my partner had finished... More

Busy restaurant with good service In a prime location. Fresh local seafood was great, good wine-list and nice deserts. The owner was very engaging and we had lovely chat about Lipari the Islands and the people.

Warm and friendly family owned restaurant in central walking street of Lipari town close to the port. The best restaurant in the main street (Corso Vittorio Emanuele). Very attentive staff, well cooked traditional food at reasonable prices. Very good value. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic food experience. We spent two weeks on Lipari during the summer and autumn eof 2011 and was recommended to go to this family owned restaurant which was centrally located. It proved to be beyond our expectations. The service was friendly, helpful and personal. The food was exceptional with traditional family recipes specialising in local produce. The variety... More

The food, service and atmosphoere at Il Galeone is fantastic. We were on Lipari for a week and we went back 5-6 times. Everything we ate there was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. They even told us some of their cooking tips which we now use at home! There is a... More
