Description: La Cantina da Bruno, founded in the 1960 by Bruno and his wife Rosetta...
La Cantina da Bruno, founded in the 1960 by Bruno and his wife Rosetta, has always been governed by the Poli family. Simplicity and passion, and with this combination Poli won their bet, reaching important goals, securing a loyal customer base and never tired of the house specialties. Gianni in the kitchen, Annalisa the pizzeria, Rosetta, the backbone is always present at the restaurant, flanked by daughter Angelita and all the staff are the real reason for the success of this establishment. In the kitchen among the specialties, the world famous Panzerotti with ham and soft cheese, we can find the cut of beef cooked in a wood oven, the Florentine, the typical tordelli di Camaiore, local seafood including Seafood Carbonara the Lighthouse of the Fisherman , delicious Crustaceans Catalan, mixed grills, only to end up with desserts all made in-house. Closed on duty all Thursday and Friday for lunch.

off the beaten path, great seafood salad

It is family owned. The daughter, I believe, took our order. She is not very friendly but the food is good. One of the best seafood salad with local small fishes I have ever had. Great oven thin pizza, spaghetti allo scoglio = small shell seafood. Fantastic dessert = mattonella = kind of ice cream... read more

First impression poor - a young girl on her IPhone at the reception not even acknowledging guests as they arrive. I had to grab someone’s attention to get an English speaking waitress to speak with us, even a basic level of meet and greet English should be a prerequisite I think and good manners. The food order was also labour... More

This is a lovely restaurant, I think one of the oldest and best in Lido, authentic italian with very friendly and helpful service, the food was consistently delicious. It serves great pizzas and other italian food. It can get crowded and reservations are recommended, and it can be noisy at times but it adds to the atmosphere. Overall, highly recommended,... More

One of the best restaurants in Lido do Camaiore. We have visited it even two times with three kids: very good pizzas and pastas, a tasty steak. Price-quality is also very good. Friendly and professional service, nobody tries to fool you around or sell the most expensive wine as is the case in some other restaurants. Better to be reserved... More

It's rare that you go into a restaurant and immediately feel at home.. The excellent establishment has managed just that. The food is quite simply excellent. The favours and ingredients top class. The servers are very knowledgable too and are very helpful in navigating the menu. Oh and don't even think of choosing the wine yourself.. The proprietor certainly knows... More

Once again, La Cantina da Bruno didn't disappoint! We went there for dinner twice this trip and everything was fantastic! They made my sister-in-law & brother-in-law's 50th anniversary dinner very special! We can't wait to go back next year!

Book your table in advance and prepare to enjoy a typical italian experience. Food is just great, the place is warm and cozy and the wines....well, try it yourself!

Friendly place with great food! Our server greeted us at the door and sat us at table despite us not having a reservation. (Definitely reserve though as they had to start turning walk-ins away.) You could tell this place was popular with the locals and visitors alike.

Recommended by the hotel, we loved the place. Off the main road, this place is truly Italian. We were welcomed by this little old lady (who owns the place, alas she didn't speak English, so we were helped by the nicest man ever!) He made excellent recommendations, with our food and wine. We had the Quattro formagio pizza which simply... More

Visited last night on a friends recommendation. Staff were welcoming even with out reservation and with our poor Italian. Food was typical Italian fare but well cooked and served with a smile. Children enjoyed watching the chef make pizza in the front of the house. What made it special was the personal touch of the owner (?), an elderly lady... More
