Definitely not disappointed!

We stopped in here on the recommendation of Trip Advisor reviewers and agree with the comments that it is fabulous (if you like fish)! The antipasto was a little bit daunting however as we ordered prawns and they came raw, cured in citrus. My wife wasn't that keen on them but I loved them and... read more

Everything we wanted from a top class restaurant. Freshly prepared food options were explained so clearly and interestingly in English so that we did not even open the menu. Wine also top quality but not expensive.

We were a table of 4 and enjoyed brilliant seafood at this restaurant . One pair had seafood pasta which was thoroughly enjoyed. My wife and I shared a whole fish, sea bass, brought to table for our approval, and cooked to perfection. It was served to each plate by the waitress and came with lovely sliced potatoes. Drinks were... More

We were recommended this restaurant at our hotel, and were not disappointed. The choice of local specialties, including seafood, is excellent, and the presentation/explanations by the hostess charming and informative. Too bad we could not sit outdoors, this being an exceptionally cold January night: but the small dining room is pleasant. The seafood risotto (Otrantino) is memorable. We tried a... More

We enjoyed delicious and truly local Lecce cuisine with able interpretation by our hostess for words that we'd never seen before on any other Italian menu. Delicious and abundant antipasti, and great pastas. The smoked cheese topped with tomato and arugula was worth coming back for all by itself. Neither of us are big seafood eaters -- and we had... Lunch at this restaurant is fantastic, and I can only imagine how wonderful dinner would be as well. We were able to have a table on the small plaza near the restaurant itself, under the shade of a tree, which made the experience even more memorable. The food is delicious. The swordfish and tuna carpaccio are excellent. I found that... More

We went to this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Although the place was packed. the owner chef when he heard that we were from Boston found a table outdoors for us. The ambiance was top notch. We loved the outdoor seating just off the old city center. The Food was prepared in a local Salento... More

After visiting many restaurants during our four week stay in Lecce, Arte dei Sapori became our go to spot for fresh seafood. Their menu contains a large variety of fish and shell fish cooked with local recipes. All the seafood we has was fresh, the wine selection good, and great deserts. They are a little hard to find, down an... More

This was recommended to us and when we walked in thought the decor was a bit colourful and crass - but not so the food and service. We had fish and steak which were both splendid. It had a real family-run feel and for somewhere so central in Lecce was a nice authentic experience. If they did the place up... More

For me could be number one in Lecce. Great food, well prepared, nice service, great staff. Large portions, if you are not so hungry you can even share. We had dinner under the tree, facing that small alley Italian Barroque style. Dont hesitate..
