Average food, decent service

Ordered the risotto with prawns. There were no prawns to be found. The risotto was cooked appropriately and had a good taste, but the tiniest bits of what I assume were prawns were few and far between. I would have preferred to have been charged more Euro and actually have had prawns in the risotto... read more

We had a very pleasant experience here on our first evening in Leece. My husband had so many clams on his plate that he seemingly had one in every mouthful with his spaghetti. Good local wines also are available!

Two dinners in Blu Notte. Both excellent made even better by our waiter Shiva, whose good English and smiles helped. Nice touches includes a lovely selection of breads offered, the amuse bouche, the heroic portions and the out door seating. Highly recommended.

Being gluten free, I have found it relatively difficult to eat out satisfactorily in Italy. The waiter at Blu Notte immediately recognised the problem, & offered possible alternatives, which were delicious, well - presented, & all in an attractive restaurant. We went back a second time, and although a fairly busy night, the waiters dealt efficiently with the crowd without... More

Our hotel suggested this restaurant for seafood and we read the reviews, but the experience was a bit of disappointment. The physical presence of the restaurant is welcoming and the fish appeared to be very fresh. Diners can select their fish from trays of iced-down seafood, and the choices included lobster, oysters, prawns, swordfish, sea bass, bream, tuna, and more.... More

We had a terrific lunch at Blu Notte, near one of the city gates in the old part of Lecce. Highly recommended by the manager of our hotel, and it lived up to expectations. Have the smoked fish carpaccio antipasto--a combination of swordfish, tuna, salmon, and cod. We then had gnocchi with tiny shrimp and mushrooms, and "pacchero"--like giant rigatoni--with... More

With an english friend who came from Brussels to make me a visit, and because it was a rainy day - it even happens here sometimes... -, we went twice in a day (!) in this good place. So we tasted two combinations of mushrooms, with pasta and meat, after excellent "antipasti" of fish. Good wines, very kind people in... More

My wife and I saw the rest earlier on a walk and decided it looked good and was out of way of tourist areas. Ordered grilled tuna steak. Arrived with outside barely cooked but totally raw inside. Sent back and came back a few minutes later a little improved. I left about 60%. In fairness to restaurant it could easily... More
