We had 2 fantastic meals at this lovely restaurant. Everything positive said in the previous reviews is absolutely true and more. Our Italian host made us feel very welcome and his English wife came and chatted to us about the area. The food was magnificent - the fillet steak was the best we had ever had and on our 2nd... We stayed one night in Formia on our way to the Amalfi Coast. It was 11pm when we got to the restaurant but it was still quite busy. We were greeted warmly and seated on the terrace. The owners are an Italian and his English wife. I ordered the pasta pescatorie. We ate in many of the best restaurants during... More

We ate at Roncesare several, times whilst staying with friends in Formia. The restaurant is stylish and authentic with friendly staff who speak excellent English . We were eating with two young boys of eight and six and they were delighted with the pizza choices ( as were we ) and on one night they received a special pasta dish made... More

Ristorante roncesare is a jewel of a place. My husband said it was the best pizza he had ever had and I had the most amazing fish served in the most decadent way - felt very spoilt! Also the beer (which we try to remember the name of but can't but is something like 'mono brow' but infinitely more Italian... More

We made this resturant the first to visit on our week's stay in Formia, and it was a perfect choice. The food was delicious, the staff exceptionally friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere really welcoming. And at less than €60 for three people having three courses with drinks, it was really good value. We will be back!

We wen't their after the good reviews from TA... It is CLOSED ON TUESDAYS. So we returned wednesday (after an amazing experience in Gaeta: La Taverna di Mino). Roncesare was only 1/3 full but extremely loud + 90% of the parking spots were used... Service: Completely unexperienced. We asked for a bottle of water, it was put on our table.... More

Having been in Formia for 6 days, I cant get enough of this restaurant! Farming much of their own vegetables and pressing their own oil, you really get to taste seasonal Italian food at its best. The fish of the day is second to none, and I would strongly recommend the Ricciola - a tasty, robust white fish, cooked to... More

We have been to Roncesare several times whilst on holiday in the area and it never fails to deliver. The food is delicious, and good quality, and the family who run it are always so welcoming and excellent at their jobs. Will definitely be returning - couldn't recommend it more.
